real estate agent will and clueless buyer mack who moved to boston a month ago and is sick and tired of his landlord and just Needs his own place
will’s family raised him to be in real estate and property management. it’d gone well for all of them, so of course it’d go well for will. he’s a smart boy, a good catholic, he’s mature; he’d do perfectly!
so, he got a job at boyd/smith once he graduated—the same place he used to spend summers cleaning to air conditioning units of while grace would giggle at him from the comfortable sofa behind him. working so close with family had its downsides in the form of being called a nepo baby by the other employees, but at least it felt like home
that got boring real quick, however. a year later he finds a nice agency based in charlestown with properties scattered throughout mass through the help of his dad and starts as soon as possible
it’s a tuesday when macklin walks in
they’re an hour from closing for the day and all of the staff are already gone, leaving will alone to finish up paperwork and plan his week out a little more until the door opening has him snapping his head up to look towards it
the boy walking in is pretty like a girl. curious green eyes and smooth hair, he looks like he belongs in a beautiful three bedroom down on the cape or elsewhere along the coast. somewhere with a big backyard and maybe a pool to sunbathe beside to keep his skin tanned and freckled and gorgeous
he looks a little awkward as he waddles over to will’s desk after being waved over with the friendliest smile he can muster. the boy scans his desk and meets his eyes, a meep look on his face as he plainly says “i wanna buy a house”
will’s eyes light up at how vague this guy is being. most would be pissed off, but will has a talent for knowing exactly what people like
they introduce themselves before will gets into asking the basic questions of “how many bedrooms?” “large or small bathroom?” “lots of storage space?” “any particular area?” all while jotting them down in his notepad.
the boy, whose name is mack, answers decently fast. “two or three bedrooms, lots of windows!” “i like a big bathroom. with a bath. it needs to have a bath.” “i have a lot of hockey gear so…” “i like boston… the houses in brookline are nice”
will asks for a budget. mack shrugs and gives some weird explanation about being financially stable and the price tag not being much of an issue and suddenly will is staring at him with big heart eyes while his brain runs at a million miles an hour when mack offhandedly mentions that he wants a big kitchen so he can bake
is this the love of my life? he’s perfect?? what the fuck??? i need to bend him over a kitchen island and nut on his bac—
