Happy #wellnesswednesday! 🐪@angelyse_sanch and I are having so much fun in our current group #thefityogiproject and I wanted to share one of our challenges in it with you peeps where we demonstrate a pose (and its modification) with the name, Sanskrit name, how-to steps, and benefits 💕 - 🌈🌟🌈🌟 - So here it is! - TRIANGLE POSE Trikonasana - Steps: 1) start with feet a little wider than the hips, toes facing forward, keep the back foot where it is, turn the front foot 90 degrees. 2) keep the legs where the are, inhale reach forward exhale, hinge at the waist placing the hand on the floor or the block, aiming to stack the shoulders. 3) hold for five breaths, repeat on the other side - Benefits: • alleviates minor joints related torment • relieves back pain • improves digestion • improves balance, focus, and concentration • strengthens hips and spine - PS. We all learn something new everyday. I’m moderately new to yoga so when I sent Angel these pics she reminded me not to lock my knees. I’ve been complaining about knee pain for about a month now and turns out that’s why!
