Tribe of the Three Gorges - Yangtze River, 🇨🇳 China! The first of our excursions from our Yangtze River cruise was to a dream like green river, the stage for a historic folk and culture experience. The picturesque surrounding of the Xiling Gorge, with stilted wooden houses and pathways climbing the emerald peaks, prepare you for an experience that’s hard to forget. Old sail boats gently sway in the shimmering water as you walk into the Tribe of the Three Gorges scenic area, greeted by soft flutes and scenery like that of a painting. The show performed by the local people is interesting and a great glimpse of what life would have been like in the past, but the mint green water is what really stuck in my head over all these years. I’ve never seen water such an appealing and alluring colour, especially with green being my favourite colour!
