5 QUESTIONS with TRICAST _____________________________ What inspires you and motivates you? I think what inspires me most would have to be my general love for many EDM artists. To name one in particular, MitiS. That guy makes beautiful music. I find motivation in the encouragement I get from my friends and my friends'' friends. They have supported me since I started making music and they continue to do so. I'm glad I've got 'em here to cheer me on! What's the best part about what you do? The best part of what I do is the construction, deconstruction, and reconstruction of the melodies and beats within a track. I find that as I go my tracks evolve into something I totally did not expect, but the progression really just feels natural. The whole process of that really allows me to dissect the possibilities of what's ended up in front of me. What new projects are you working on? I have many, many projects I'm currently working on. I actually suffered a bit of writer's block for a long while and felt like I wasn't making any progress. A few months ago I just sat down and started just thinking of ways I could come up with something new and at least semi-unique. I just started putting down some chords I thought of and then built off of it. Eventually those few chords became my track Crushing Depths. After that I felt like ideas just were flowing naturally at a faster pace. That being said, I've got a lot of songs in production. Does a specific state of mind or mood generate your best work? This is probably going to sound really cliché, but I use almost every mood or emotion I'm feeling at any time. I draw from whether I'm feeling happy, or if I feel like the world is falling apart around me, and so on. A lot of that emotion sort of feeds out of my personal life. What can we expect from you in the near future? Definitely more songs. (laughs) I currently see no end anywhere at all in sight. I hope to have an official label release out soon. Moving on to releasing EPs and albums would be great. Hopefully I'll get the chance to perform in front of crowds!
