How do you feel about Tricksters who use their mischief for righteous causes? The proverbial Prometheuses of the world? I have a Warlock who isn't very physically strong, but clever, nimble, and magically gifted-- he's been using more wit and charm than anything to steal back power from a group of people using it to hurt others.

You’re doing exactly what you need to be doing, my child. Go forth and continue to remind the powerful that they’re not as powerful as they think.

Why is the trickster archetype so appealing to you

The Trickster is the ultimate agent of change. Nothing is static around a Trickster, it’s always alive and vibrant.

Sometimes a Trickster might start shit just because they’re bored, but more often than that they’re doing what has to be done. Their exploits often get them in trouble with authority and they always question that authority.

Tricksters expose the best and the worst of our societies and force us to look at them in the full light of day. They force us to rethink our positions and re-examine our principles.

That is what appeals to me, the constant cry of “you can do better and be better, you just have to be brave (or desperate) enough to step up and change things.”
