I was never one of those people who gets irrationally angry at trigger warnings/content notices. Most of my friends have been victims of sexual assault to one degree or another and so I get it. (Idk. Also I'm compassionate and have empathy so there's that too).
But I admit, sometimes I'd see a tw or cn for something and go "really? A trigger warning for that?" (I mean, i didn't rage about it because I have better things to do and it doesn't really affect me and isn't something to be angry over but sometimes the types of warnings struck me as odd).
Twice recently I've come across it for content depicting anxiety in a realistic way (one was a comic depicting a realistic panic attack). And even with my anxiety I thought "really? A trigger warning for that?" And as I read on my chest would get tight and I started feeling anxious and it took about an hour to calm down.
So idk, even if you don't see why there should be a warning there, someone might need it. Even if they just need a moment to steel themselves for what's ahead.
Hey everyone, sorry I've not been adding trigger warnings to posts until after I post them! I stared using xkit and I'm not quite used to it. I'll be trying to add them all on correctly in the future! :)

A Central Michigan University professor was arrested after allegedly firing a shotgun at two door-to-door salesmen on June 5, according to an arrest record filed by the Isabella County Sheriff’s Department.
