i love baiting mtt poly fans what can i say 😇😇😇 but anyway
it wasn't a meetcute at all lol technically frank and ian met one another first. frank got his ass in trouble and ian rescued him technically, and then the evil scientist just had certain ideas about this delusional vampire hunting his own kind. frank offered to help ian with his "condition", in exchange for favors, mostly collecting stuff from more dangerous areas. frank is knowledgeable about the multiverse at large, but it's not a particularly safe place for killers like him to wander around (there's some... worldbuilding to why so don't worry). frank picked up jack some long time later as a curiosity case. he likes to poke jack around for some experiment to work out how jack works without a head. and uhhh yeah when ian dropped by to drop some stuff for frank, he freaked the fuck out at frank who he thought was a cadaver at first lmaooooo
they do like each other in their weird ways. funnily enough, frank is mostly in his stage 1 and he's very open about liking ian and jack. it's just... he has that typical air of killers where people don't know if he's sincere or not most of the times. he calls ian and jack his partners in a way that's unclear whether he means business partners or something else, and he kinda revels in that ambiguity. ian has an attraction to both of them, but hmm the thing is that when he's somewhat lucid he worries whether it's because he gets their blood benefits out of this arrangement. he can't kiss jack of course but also when he patches up jack sometimes he just instinctively laps at the wounds. jack would just go "what the fuck you freak" and ian just explains (truthfully, mind you) that it's just regular first aid stuff to stop the bleeding before bandaging. and frank just watches all this go down like the freak he is. and jack... yeah he's the most reserved, unfortunately. he doesn't entirely trust these two fuckers, and especially frank for good reason (see part 3). but it's better to have someone rather than no one, and he does appreciate what they've done for him when they don't have to do so. frank is very considerate to him (in a somewhat weird way), and ian is... ian - kinda crazy but at least he never hurts him or anything. they also bond over their thirst for revenge too i suppose 😒😒😒
yup so as i said: ian works for frank, and jack is frank's little experiment. frank is wishy-washy on the "sunlight allergy" but he has found ways to help ian's "anemia" by giving totally-not-blood supplements. he actually found where jack's head is but keeps that a secret from jack because... he's a killer, so yeah 😒😒😒 this definitely won't cause issues at allllll 😒😒😒 he's a competent doctor but that doesn't mean he's a good one.
