Dissolution Quartz are Quartz Crystals that have had molecules removed through possible geothermal or volcanic activity, literally dissolving the stone. Most Dissolution Quartz specimens resemble beautiful crystal-shaped pieces of crushed ice. A good majority of Dissolution Quartz sold, also feature deep triangular shapes on the face of the termination (also known as record-keepers). The termination on this specimen has three clearly visible "Trigonic Record Keepers," but with the right lighting you'll notice more tiny ones are present! According to Wikipedia, "Quartz is the second most abundant mineral in Earth's continental crust, after Feldspar.
