Hallo! 👋 Sorry for being so silent for the last month, I’ve been both having health issues and a bit of an art block lately. I’ve been struggling with feeling comfortable with my drawings, especially those about characters. Like, my brain did not agree with my process, ykwim? Hhh I don’t know how to explain, but anyway, I was looking at the Trigun Version Red (? Is that the name?) and Nightow’s squiggly lines when he’s sketching an idea just mesmerized me, to the point in which I thought the sketches looked better than the final art. Anyway, it inspired me to test some things , and I’m happy with this one! ✨

Funnily enough, it was kind of inspired also by one of my late drawing teachers back in college, Florencio Galindo. I have mixed feelings about how he was as a teacher (it was the only subject I ever failed in college despite getting a 9/10 on the same subject the previous semester with another teacher, but I digress). In any case, his way of painting and drawing really resonates with how my brain processes things, which is what I was missing before, so it only made sense to go back to his style and his teachings.
