Tarun Trikha On The Impact Of Covid-19 On The Travel Industry
Tarun Trikha is one of the more optimistic people regarding the future of the travel industry. With a better understanding of the disease plaguing us, Tarun Trikha can see more people travelling freely in the coming year, even for pleasure.
Tarun Trikha along with other entrepreneurs have experienced the kind of new situations this year that none of them had ever expected. To say 2020 has been a roller-coaster of a year would be an understatement. Just when it seemed that situations might be getting better, a new one would pop up out of nowhere. Needless to say, it has been full of surprises and not of the good kind. Out of the industries affected, it can be safely presumed that the travel industry suffered the most. Suddenly, no buses, trains, flights were running and everything was at a standstill. Countries had restrictions on travel and some even banned any kind of travel from some specific countries.
Tarun Trikha On Travel In Covid-19 Times
Since different means of transportation have come into existence, travel has been at the heart of this expanding world. It has been the sole reason behind different cultures spreading around the world. From ships to airplanes, we have always relied on various means of travel. But when a situation like a pandemic strikes the world, travel is the first that needs to be halted for obvious reasons. Barring the essentials, travelling had to be severely restricted by countries in an attempt to slow down the spread. This came as a shock, mentally and financially, for everyone who was involved in the travel industry in any way. No one expected things to ever get this out of hand which is why the first reaction was panic. Small companies unable to survive were shutting down and huge ones were also barely surviving because of the severe lack of cash flow. As the year progressed though, situations started becoming a tad better and travel started resuming but still not at full capacity. Those who stood strong against these unexpected changes, like Tarun Trikha, are slowly trying to get back on their feet successfully.
Tarun Trikha Expecting The Future Of Travel To Be Better
One thing that this year has taught us all is that nothing in the future can be predicted with absolute certainty. The future has always been uncertain but it seemed especially unsure this year. So any kind of prediction needs to be taken with a grain of salt. Keeping that in mind, Tarun Trikha believes that there is a good possibility of the travel industry doing very well in the coming year. This is based on some logical reasons.
The first reason is the fact that medical professionals, meaning doctors and health care workers, have now learned to better manage and control the virus. When the corona-virus was first discovered, we virtually knew nothing about it to base treatments on. As some time has passed, researchers around the world have a decent idea about the way this virus can be tackled. More and more lives are being saved every day that would have been lost previously. Since news like this has spread more, people’s fear of Covid-19 has greatly reduced too. This in turn has resulted in more travel, albeit with safety precautions. More flights are running now as the masses are becoming freer but with caution.
Additionally, the economic slump that the world saw after seemingly all economic activities stopped, hit everyone very hard. Fortunately or unfortunately that meant that these activities needed to be resumed as normally as they could. A lot of them already have and their impact, even if small, can be seen already. Tarun Trikha expects more of this happening which will ultimately lead to consistent and more profits for the travel industry.
