Finally decided to post about some old sketches of my ocs for the orville here heh gonna start posting a lot Abt these guys <] been fixating on the Orville for Abt 1-2 months?

Onghshe you're actually reading hehe ok. Some of this might get changed the more I develop their characters.

Climax(hourglass print one): 2nd gen Kaylon and 'brothers' with Isaac (yeah I know they don't really have family on Kaylon 1 but that's a plot hole I'll figure out later). He's fully capable of emotions due to some manufacturing issues and starts to pick up on them a bit during his time on Kaylon 1. He fled his homeworld not too long after though since he was defective and Primary noticed after his admiration for biological life was shown- he came to a conclusion that they'd get rid of him. Afterward he started traveling to other planets and became found family with Xenon and some others(low-key don't have names for some of them). Hes a really big star nerd too heh.

Xenon: Moclan female. Her parents made the choice to keep her female and attempted to flee Moclus. Unfortunately after some altercations, her dads were killed and she was sent to a desert planet to be executed. Luckily Climax just so happened to be on the planet by chance and helped her out. She ends up becoming his 2nd in command since she was the first person who joined Climax's side and became his sister. Xenon travels to other planets with climax for a while until they meet Quaternary. Gets into trouble a bit. She is around the same age as Climax(around her 20sish.? Climax found her when she was a kid)

Quaternary(probably the most complicated bg): 1st generation Kaylon, got his name from originally being fourth in command/ in charge after tertiary. Fully capable of biological emotions due to his builder. (Not gonna go into too much detail about his life pre-genocide), but awhile after the genocide, secondary and primary attempted to forcefully reprogram to rid quaternary of his emotions to 'fix' him after he had an emotional outburst. Knowing there wasn't anything to convince them not to he fled the planet and explored a bit before getting attacked by krill ships and crash landing. He was eventually found by Climax + Xenon and joined their 'crew,' becoming third in command. He broke off ties with them after a while after an incident and did not officially return until after the Kaylon war and when climax forgave him. (He did a lot of not so good stuff when he left but we won't go into detail for now). His 'eyes' correspond to his emotions, which he himself programmed as a gift for someone he loved before the genocide. He kept Climax and Xenon grounded. Hes kinda supposed to mirror Climax too

(I haven't thought of a name for her but she'd the one with short hair): Xelayan female, got into debt and some issues off planet and went to some planet to illegally spar/ do death matches to pay it off. Climax and the other two stumbled across the planet and since she needed to do a high risk fight to finally pay it all off they decided to send Quaternary since he was a kaylon and stage a fight to let her win. Having nowhere to go, she decides to just tag along and becomes 4th commander. Quaternary talks to her the most and they get along better than him with the others. She helps Quaternary keep the other two grounded

Movement mindmap-brainstorming ideas for new theme

I have been thinking about the new theme of movement and been brain storming ideas for an hour and this one was the one I decided to go with to research and I found that tjis combines my interests both of transport and and people and capturing my movements , and feel what I want to research people, transport and urban life all captures movement in the same places and works well together. I want to capture moments of movement in a unique way through street view or Arielview point of Limerick city- movement of strangers-people,buses,trains,cars,bikes, trees, birds

I will try to get some primary research tomorrow while out in the city. Taking photographs with slow shutter speed and fast and see what effects that can create as well as photographs from high buildings for Ariel effect. While also sketching while the people and traffics moves on. I’m looking forward to making and seeing how this can progress forward as I feel the connection from past project of consumption and production of trains and personal connection works well with this new theme and how I can create work that combines all of what I like to explore within my work, which is people, street views, transport, nature, animals and urban life.
