The World of Crystal was once a regular Undertale timeline, although [The Player] seemed to be unsatisfied. With their determination they spill dust yet could not taint the last monster. They reversed time with glitched consequences running behind them to the point of inactivity.
With that, the timeline was turned to dust as if it was only a playtime pass off. But hold and behold, a hand offered the dusted world a second chance! The Entity used a crystal to sew the world back together. Struck a deal and you shall be a part of her crystallized world under the rule of The Crystar.
