Not sure how much you are up on the other Blizzard games, but I'd be real curious to see who Ram, Genji, Cassidy (and anyone else you'd like) would main in World of Warcraft and how? Would they stick to their Overwatch roles or do you see them gravitating to something new? Bonus if they're all raiding or doing dungeons together without knowing who's on the other side of the screen :)
I have the same three/four games in rotation so I know absolutely nothing about WoW, so, I'll do a little trio drabble of them doing some form of raid on some game...
Genji had somehow managed to get the cowboy in on his little game considering Hana was still out. He was smug about it, and rightly so, as Cassidy wasn't one to join in on such games that would take hours to complete - he'd rather be sat with a deck of cards than staring at a screen.
"What am I supposed to be doing?" Cassidy asks, looking towards the ninjas screen.
"Just follow me." Genji doesn't look up, focusing too hard on some in game battle. "And use this ability when I tell you to."
"So, I'm just support then?" The cowboy turns back to his screen. Too many dialogue options appear on the screen, too many buttons to click, but at least he got to customise his character.
"Pretty much."
With a groan, Cassidy does as he's told. He follows Genji's character around the map, occasionally getting involved with fighting when he grows a little more confident in the controls. Thankfully, the ninja was prepared and gave his friend an old account so he wasn't too far behind in skill levels, allowing Cassidy to test things out without having to complete all the boring starter quests.
However, everything comes to a halt when Genji stops moving, the screen flashing with a warnings.
"What is that?" The cowboy looks towards his friend.
"Remember how I said there was this one guy at the top of the leader board for months?"
"Oh, you've got to be kidding me." Cassidy narrows his eyes as Genji looks back at him with a smug grin.
"Nobody has ever gotten close to defeating him."
"I have a feeling this won't end well."
And on the other side of the screen, miles away from the two preparing for a fight, Ramattra sits at his desk. His fingers tap against the console, optics scanning the feed before him before he's pinged of people entering his territory.
With a cock of his head and an amused hum escaping his vocaliser, he stares down at the two unsuspecting characters making their way through the maze-like walls of his in game base.
It's a guilty pleasure of his, one that he doesn't dare admit to anyone. The leader of Null Sector playing some "mindless, incessant crap" (his words once upon a time).
The omnic halted his original plans, servos moving to the keyboard by the smaller screen and immediately getting to work on ensuring the two foolish men learn their lesson.
It brings him a sinister satisfaction watching them move hastily before coming to a halt in one of the deeper room. He knows that at least one of the knows it's a trap - gold and weapons ready to be looted - and when the weaker of the two steps forward and takes what doesn't belong to him, Ramattra strikes.
His own character moves from the shadows with ease before bringing down a blow that takes just over half their health in one swing.
Screens light up in a flurry of activity, guns are fired, swords are drawn, health items are used and blood is spilled before ultimately, Genji and Cassidy are forced back to the perimeter.
"What the fuck was that?!" Cassidy shoots a glare at the ninja at his side.
"A warning, because next time, we hit back harder." Genji responds, the determination clearly evident in his eyes.
"Good attempt, but not this time." Ramattra drawls, leaning back in his chair and then returning his focus to the camera feeds ahead. He knows they'll be back.
Though, the outcome will remain the same.
