Legacies Season 4: Episode: 6= A-
Where to start...the good, the bad..hmm... let's go by characters!
Hope and Clarke! Sorry--Ryan! I love it! I felt so stupid for being so surprised at seeing him. Hope was going after Triad, of course, she would pick up Ryan along the way. Uhm...Ryan and Trudy's life. I admire all the qualities he says he likes in her, however, even for a human life, that's not the path I thought he would have taken. Hope was right on that front. Ryan wants a human life, go for it, however, I don't think that was the way to go about it. I pictured a college guy walking around campus, maybe a bookstore or coffee owner? You guys getting the vibe? Also, side note: Trudy is suspicious. Why do you want to know all about vampires? The last people that were eager to know about the supernatural world were Isobel: TVD and Camillie: TO...we all know what happened with them and we already know who our next vampires are going to be after Hope (heretics!), don't cut in line. Thank you, next!
Hope is an a-hole! I laughed and felt so bad for Ryan! She was just messing up his whole life! I love that Ryan spoke the truth to Hope about her actions though. Everything he said was right. Even though Hope didn't deliberately turn it off, she may not feel but, she can control her actions and is choosing not to. She will do something she can't go back on and then BAM! The switch will be flipped. We'll just be sitting here waiting.
So, Freya is just going to accept that Hope's humanity is off and not do anything? She left the family and we're accepting decisions now. Has Klaus taught them nothing?
So, Kaleb was annoying in the beginning. I wasn't expecting that. At first, I agreed with him. They did always rely on Hope and now without her, they know nothing. Barely can fight, don't know that many spells, and Hope can and will take them out every time. How does he want to fix this, by actual training? Great. I was on board! Then that crap show of an obstacle course happened and Kaleb tried to be Mr. Big Man and bossy. Hold on. No sir. Group effort, always. Why is he acting like this? Then Jed and Kaleb fight and dragon powers! I was wondering when those would appear. Yea, Kaleb still has a ways to go before trust comes back. Forgiveness was easy, but they don't trust him. MG was correct. And damn he put a big brother in his place! ''Your benched.''
If Cleo doesn't want to follow the road her boyfriend is on, I suggest she spills it about that tree. I should have seen that coming too. Of course, the tree the three planted would grow to destroy the tribrid. Now hopefully the Squad will have better communication, then someone can explain that all they need to do is pull a Klaus Mikaelson. The dagger dripped in white oak ash will make the Originals desiccate, but not kill them. Therefore, all they need is the same with the ashes of the tree and stabbing Hope with it. Cleo sweetie! This is the part where you speak up! You know it will work now, you've tested it. Now tell them!
So, maybe it's me. Or maybe it's because I'm getting into the mood of TVD and TO that Legacies is displaying but...I thought Lizzie's plan was okay. Honestly. It was great. She was getting a deathbed patient and not just out killing a random, which let's be real. Caroline, Alaric, Klaus, and Hayley were out here doing worse than what she's doing now. I loved her idea. When Josie came into the room to try and stop her I was annoyed but then Lizzie popped on that ring and said, you can sit this one out sis. Yasss Lizzie!! That's my girl! Of course, all great things come to an end. She didn't go through with it. The man had a daughter. It pulled on her heartstrings. So, that was a bust but I don't like how immediately she thinks she's an awful person in need of help because she wanted to save her Dad. Also, does 'help' mean the therapy box? No. And why did Josie make it seem to like Lizzie was leaving. She's going to be back. She didn't leave her. Aside from all of that. Sweet Finch and Josie moment. I know Josie's snapback earlier was a poke, but Finch didn't let that deter her. She stayed fighting for Josie. Good on her.
A couple of reviews back, I said it was Ted and Malivore in Purgatory. I was mistaken. It is Landon with him. Sorry, that first scene with them was giving Malivore!Landon vibes. So! Ted broke my heart! His poor friend! Oscar was literally a ride or die! I love that Ted helped him find peace and then he and Landon both got their coins.
Alaric just had to make an appearance...so...he's dying right. As in peace. Bye-bye birdie? I only ask because we all know Landon isn't dying. I don't know how, but he is coming back. If Landon comes back, then isn't it possible that Alaric could as well, writers forbid.
hmm...we'll see I suppose.
This episode was an A-. It was more comical than the previous ones. A bit more season 1 comedy than the darker tones lately. Maybe because Wade, Jed, and Ethan were all together. Those three seem to always be the lighter aspect of the show. It wasn't horrible, but I am loving the edgy-ness and I hope they don't do away with that, but also keep those little jokes and lighter funny moments that Legacies is known for on its own.
We're still guessing who that mystery voice is!
See you next week!
