Worthy ambassador of the new Chicago ghetto house scene Jorge Armando Ortega aka Maddjazz hustles the institutions and is becoming a genuine value in ghetto music and in general. Member of the Ghetto Division crew next to Rob Threezy, Rampage and Charlie Glitch he started djing at 14 years old through turntablism and quickly found himself playing at local raves and loft parties. Starting producing earned him an international acknowledgement by his peers and that allowed him to play throughout the world. Composed of four tracks his EP is a clever melting pot of all his influences. Powerful hip hop resonances, r’n’b and soul but also rave and electro, he creates a futuristic and innovative Juke, and terribly precise and efficient as always, within his will to break the codes. To glamorize it all, Marvy Da Pimp, David Beltran and Lazy Ants revisit the EP with electro, future step and techno remixes. More than a simple EP it’s the result of a longstanding collaboration between Ghetto Division and Booty Call crews; it’s a family affair that will smash clubs! Get trippy!
