“this must be heaven for you,” she observes coldly. not like her. she’s lost everything -- gone from magnum opus to just another one of the masses in this cosmic game of fear and flight. the knife is lodged in her leg, just above her knee, and she clenches her teeth not to make a sound as she pulls it out. now she has a weapon -- not that it matters much, here. her arm will freeze up whenever she tries to strike, her system singing with adrenaline until all she can do is run and hide like a coward.
yun-jin has never been a spiritual woman, and being taken here has certainly not helped with that. ji-woon looks dangerous, now, like death in a tarot card in his blood-splattered coat, and again the unnatural urge to flee pulls at her and she even takes a step back. her find, her star, a killer. it seems so obvious now -- how could she have not known from the start, when he was a nobody, and then a symbol of yun-jin’s success?
“are you going to kill me, ji-woon?” she tries to sound unafraid, but she’s thinking about the screams in his albums and the potential he has to make it hurt. she’s long lost the fur coat, too flushed with running to bother with it, and now she shivers in the cold air. or maybe that’s just the blood loss streaming down her lower leg. still, yun-jin speaks with clear hostility, perhaps because she doesn’t remember any other way to be. “i don’t need a lecture on acceptance from you, and i’m getting bored.”
