The One at Subic
Itās been a decade since Iāve had a trip to Subic! I really donāt know why we go there often because itās such a nice place. If you take a look at it, the place is a reminiscent of the suburban areas of Guam.
One of my college friends, Trish, planned to have her debut in Subic and there wasnāt really much to think about. It was an automatic yes! We checked in at Subic Grand Harbour Hotel which was where the party was held.Ā
Obviously, the place was beside the beach because who the hell would name the hotel āgrand harbourā if it wasnāt? Iād give the hotel 3.5 stars because of the view at the back! I loved seeing all the ships and boats in the water, haha.
They gave us front row seats at the Patrizia concert, lol (we were seated at the āpresidential tableā , thanks Trish haha). I could literally see everything from there - the performances, the speeches, the videos.
Here she is in the flesh, Patrizia Anne Montefalcon Gonzales, the star (or butterfly) of the night with a production number filed under: I bet you guys that these gymnasts can toss me in the air without them getting muscle fatigue. Hidden talent # 1.
Stunning and beautiful as usual, her highness sits on her throne like the respectable royalty she is.
The food was also amazing like we didnāt have to stand up to get our own food. It saved me so much angst (Iām that lazy, sorry lol). Hereās one of the items that was on my plate: bacon wrapped around veggies (idk the name of the vegetable).
I was part of the 18 sunflowers! Lucky that they put my part in the final video. Even though āHeroā by EI wasnāt the song, it sure was great to show of my non-existent slow dance skills in front of everybody.
We finally got the chance to have photos with the woman of the hour during the program and during the open dance floor! Cue our hipsterzcxzs poses. Hashtag donāt judge lmao.Ā
Here are some other photos from the party (filed under: photos without 3SHLORD).
It was surely a great night! The four-hour drive from Manila to Olongapo was worth it because I got to be a part of something big. Happy 18th birthday, Trish (even though your real birthday was like a week ago). Now, sheās of legal age and can now drive her new set of wheels around town like she owns it, nigga *cue intense Jay-z song*.
Letās end this post with a mandatory palm tree photo.
