Control || Triston&Cassandra
London, Paris, and Florence had been the last few places Cassandra had been staying since she had made the flight across the ocean approximately a month ago. Chicago had been her original destination, but after hearing about the new chaos and disaster surrounding New York, she couldn’t help but be drawn in. She was a sucker for conflict, she had been for centuries, and a conflict of this magnitude was impossible for her to avoid.
After arriving in the city, one of the first things she had done was try to evaluate the power structure. She didn’t want to be too obvious by going to those that were formally in power, so instead Cassandra had started just below. Older vampire, but not quite older than her, seemingly sane enough to be stable, Triston had been an easy target to settle on from the moment she saw him, and now that she had him in her sights he didn’t really have a chance. Hearing about a bit of increased conflict throughout the last few days, Cassandra knew that basically anybody would have more information than she would--after all, few people in the city even knew she was here. Triston might not have known about anything, but he was at least a good place to start when it came to fishing for information. That was why she was now standing outside his apartment, waiting to see if he opened up after she knocked. She was pretty sure that he had never actually told her where he lived, but Cassandra was always good at finding out things that were important for her to know. She was calm, collected, anything she could use to try and casually get some information out of him.
