Billie and her roommates had kept the heat on low to save money. She wrapped herself in a blanket and got to put on her cozy socks before Trixie would show up. She was excited to hang out with a new friend. It was always weird for her to get to know new people, there was a period when she didn’t know if they’d stay her friend or she would develop an attraction to them. When Trixie showed up, Billie answered her apartment door. “Hey! Sorry, it’s a little cold in here but I was going to make tea.”
