i'm ngl, i haven't written much for any of my stories, but i do think my favourite bit of the little i have written is Markos getting junpscared by Jack Conan's massive one eye'd cat (her name is Beef Noodle Soup) sitting on the radiator in the dark (the cat later decides he's her favourite). unfortunately i did write this in an exam :') so i no longer have it with me but i am excited to rewrite it :D

as for a part i'm looking forward to writing... for eidolon vetch it's probably orpheus and cecil meeting (which is only because cecil is incredibly nosy and can't leave well alone) OR the heists (because i love heists!! and the detective-thief dynamic :D)

if a character of yours changed genre, what would it be, and how would that affect the story?

So the fun thing about this is that I write multiple genres in the same universe, so characters already do change genre by virtue of showing up in multiple projects.

Best example is Singe Tyrain who gets to be a main cast member in two different genres, one is a creepy urban fantasy (Humanless), and the other is Magek superhero adventures (The Elementals).

The thing is though, Singe clearly belongs with the superheroes. He's practically acting like one from his first appearance in Humanless, and when deliberately offered a spot in a secret society says no because knowing secrets won't actually help him.

But here's the thing, Humanless came first. It's the backstory. As much as he is more so a superhero, he is also a survivor of everything that happened back then. He keeps more secrets than his teammates (despite being the only one without specific political significance), he's killed someone before, and he's just more prepared for things even other mages don't think exist.

So I guess my answer is they're always affected by the genres they belong in? It's just some of them belong in multiple.

Happy STS from @trixierosewrites! If you had to pick a favourite line of dialogue from your WIP(s), what would it be?

I searched into my written drabbles for a bit and realized I don't have a lot of dialogue, but one of my favorite interactions (not really lines) in dialogue is probably this one i did for febuwhump last year, on day 4 i think? This one was with Meine and the prompt was obedience:

His father raises an eyebrow, as if saying, what did I say about not answering me properly?

“I do”, he answered, before Father prompted him again.

It's kind of small but I like the dynamic we have here

I think my favorite details (in a few wips im not currently working on but they are there) are these:

In (Un)Chosen One, the story is about two mages and a hero chosen by a prophecy trying to defeat a dragon, as the prophecy says. I like that in that setting, prophecies are pretty common, but there is a look of burocracy and unnecessary paperwork to get one done, so everytime they get close to accomplishing their goal, they have to fill in a thousand reports and the dragon escapes again. It's not very fleshed out but I love this wip

In Rose Red, the whole thing is a parody of many different fairy tales just edited so I can make the main character, Vella, suffer. Her father, the king, was cursed and threw her in a dungeon; the Prince Charming who came to save her killed her beloved (even though cursed) father in front of her and is also pretty abusive. She runs away but the prince is now after her. Just a lot of unfortunes on her way :)

In Rumplestilstkin's Child i also based it on a fairy tale about Old Rumple himself; in the story, he made a deal with a desperate woman and she promised him her firstborn. I was just very curious to what would happen to her child then (like what if they didn't die or anything and rumplestilstkin just raised them) so that story was born. The kid's name is Vaiva. I just really like fairy tales

There's also like a thousand more ones but for wrapping it up: In TWOTHT (The War Of The Human Throne), I have a few cool themes going on, so I'm proud of that ^^ The premise is that, in this world, there are a few different races, all fighting for a long time now, to prove that they are the True Humans (TM). None of the races are actually that different from each other, just a few differences like oh these ones have silver blood and oh these ones have a bigger average body mass and etc. And none of them are inspired by actual fantasy races, just basically humans with a few silly alterations. I like it a lot because it's about dehumanization, racism and eugenics :)

The very first draft of The Undiscovered Country is from when I was 10, and it's near un-recognisable from the story now lol.

Back then it was a superhero story about a girl who accidentally gets destructive superpowers, and who teams up with a lad who is also escaped lab experiment to take down the shadowy scientists interested in them both. It was a lot less cool and a lot more convoluted than this synopsis, and very something a 10 year old would make after watching too many superhero movies.

The Undiscovered Country went through several different iterations of a superhero story, the last of which being "local enby runs away from home and stumbles across guy who just escaped a government superhero program. friendship ensued". I then made a non-superpowered au of that draft, which then became first version of The Undiscovered Country's current form.

The Undiscovered Country now is a slice-of-life story about two very lonely gcse students becoming friends while recovering from their own different mental health crises. It's about how gcses SUCK and aromanticism and QPRs are super cool, becoming closer with younger siblings, and is ultimately wish fulfilment of the highest degree. I am planning to start writing the first draft of the current version of the Undiscovered Country at some point soon! :D

OH, that's a hard one.

on T&O, if in this very specific scenario Ola changed from fantasy character to horror character, I think the plot would completely change from him and Totsuka going after her goal while also trying to unbond their souls that got tangled together (in an accident) to them trying to fix Ola's magic before it kills them both. not sure. im not very invested in horror

I'm ngl, it's been a weird time for my memory recently, so I'm cursing myself for not making a list of my favourite details in the past :'). However! I do remember a couple details from Eidolon Vetch that I really enjoy wbwbw:

Orpheus can change the way he looks at will, but he prefers his main appearance, which purposefully resembles Matchsticks Kelly (something he chose after

Both Orpheus and Ophelia have had fundamental changes to theirselves after becoming dead-ish gods that reflect their domains: Orph's (god of deceit, dreams) entire existence serves to perpetuate his lies, and Ophelia (god of history, memory) has become obsessed with the past to the detriment of her existence/relationships in the present :D! Love it when godhood changes your existence!
