International Turtle and Tortoise Week 2017, Day 4 (Days 1, 2, and 3)
We turtles and tortoises are strong and independent, but with all that is going on with our planet, we can’t make it alone. We need your help! In addition to recycling and not littering, you can help by supporting conservation and rescue organizations that keep us shells healthy, happy, and thriving, both individually and as species.

Of course, no list like this would be complete without also mentioning the Galapagos Conservancy! While not solely tortoise-focused, this group is responsible for much of the wonderful work on the biggest tortoise species of all!
Helping doesn’t always require dollars, either! (Although dollars are much appreciated!) You can also help by volunteering, becoming a member, or simply spreading the word. Tell all your friends about how awesome these organizations are and how we turtles and tortoises are going to take over the world amazing we turtles and tortoises are!
