Something really interesting about the anomalies in the zones: Once you get used to them, they still have the capacity to be terrifying and catch you off guard. It's basically a wild little ecosystem out there. They are also, however, much easier to avoid because you've learned to identify them, their habits, and range of motion.
Everything out there is just doing its own thing, and you are a new and interesting specimen, so of course they're gonna come check you out. What's interesting is that they will investigate anything and everything that catches their interest so long as it's either shiny or moving.
I don't think they eat, at least, I haven't seen any evidence that they do? I'm not sure how most of them would, honestly, but they seemed to have developed methods similar to hunting or foraging techniques.
I think the only ones in the outer zone I hate because either a. they're literally everywhere, or b. they're very good at camouflage and I'm bad at seeing them, are the Tourists and Wriggling Wrecks respectively.
Cannot tell you how many times I have been driving and all of a sudden, I'm caught in that awful web. I can escape and get zapped, or I can stay and get zapped even worse. I'm paranoid at every pile of anything because it might be another Wreck, and I just want to move on and get my stuff back to the garage PLEASE!!!
Tourists...I shouldn't have to explain myself.
Fuck those guys
