Suffixes & Prefixes
Affixes are fairly common in Trolit, as in most languages, so let’s talk about them!
Suffixes:
-ende Derived from idende - there is, it indicates a tendency, inclination, character, or quality. This is similar to English -ive. (Ex. braklikdar - addict > braklikdarende - addictive)
-et forms the plural of any noun ending in a consonant. (Ex. stajorn - star > stajornet - stars)
-ets Derived from the word mets - most, it indicates the highest number, or pinnacle of something. (Ex. stoy - high > stoyets - highest)
-ist is used to indicate a number in a group, similar to the English -th. (Ex. em - five > emist - fifth)
-nin When attached to a verb it creates a noun, meaning a person or thing that carries out the action specified. (Ex. idzak - draw > idzaknin - artist)
-t forms the plural of any noun ending in a vowel. (Ex. flaka - scale > flaka’t - scales)
‘r and ‘ar Derived from far - of indicates the possessive, like the English 's or 'es. It is always written with an apostrophe. (Ex. ev davbloo - the lowblood > ev davbloo’r slot - the lowblood’s chair)
‘ti is a contraction of tikt - like, used to indicate that something is done in a certain way. Similar to the English suffix -ly. It is always written with an apostrophe. (Ex. libraln - happy > libraln'ti - happily, in a way that is happy)
Prefixes:
sha- Derived from the word sha - negative, it is used to negate something. Comparable to the English prefix un-. (Ex. 1 bilort - end > shabilort - endless. Ex. 2 ipsonerende - impressive > shaipsonerende - unimpressive)
me’ Derived from mevok - much, acts as a magnifier for adjectives. It is always written with an apostrophe. (Ex. arlend - different > me’arlend - very different)

Pluralization
One of the more important aspects of any language is how to form the plural. Thankfully it’s also one of the easiest in Trolit!
Words ending in 'as’ or 'us’ can be made plural by replacing that syllable with ‘ii’. An example of this would be the plural form of lusus, lusii.
All other words can be pluralized with either the suffix -t after a vowel or -et after a consonant. Examples of this would be flaka, meaning scale, which would be flakat and boaks, tree, which would be boakset.
Split Words
This is an interesting little grammatical rule.
Trolit does not allow for there to be three or more consonants in a row, because of this some words are split into two parts with a space. Grammatically these words act the same as any other. Examples of split words include yprat skaen - sky, Prong klis - palm, Praberd ryngit - motivation, Mam bloo - midblood, and Lap stale - drop. Exceptions to this rule include Shlekt - kin, Skried - laugh, and Skryl - yell, where the triple consonant appears at the beginning of the word.
Mod Opening
We have space open for a grammar assistant! The ideal candidate would speak both English and an SOV language (preferably German or Dutch), have a good understanding of grammar, syntax, word order, all that jazz, and be located somewhere without too big of a time difference from PST. If you would like to help please send in an ask and provide a Skype or Discord where I can message you.

Pesterlog Translations
Alright, you guys wanted it so I’m going to post a few translated pesterlogs. It’s up to you to decide which logs you’d like me to post, though.
Details: 1. I’m only going to translate five logs. I may do this again but this time there are only 5 slots. 2. I am only translating the troll dialog! I will not translate what the humans say, keep that in mind when picking logs. 3. You can suggest as many different logs as you want but please try not to suggest the same log forty times. 4. Tonight at midnight (PST) I will pick five logs, starting with the most suggested ones. 5. Send us links to the pages in comic via ask, replying to this post, or reblogging this post.
