Trope FMK, 'none of this is a good idea' variant: Hondo, Ventress, Bo-Katan

Slow Burn - Bo-Katan! She’s trying to reclaim Mandalore, I’ve got some unfinished business with the Empire, and we’re both out for blood. I join her team for one job—only it turns out it’s not just one job, and we’re stuck together for months, and months, and months as we slowly come to realize we respect the other more than we thought we did.

Fake Date - Hondo—not because I think it’d be particularly deliciously angsty, but because I think it’d be fun to spend a weekend with him in space vegas being arm candy while we scam people for all they’re worth. I get tight, tiny, expensive dresses and free drinks, he gets a ton of money, and we both get casual sex. Sounds great to me.

Enemies to Lovers - Ventress, no doubt about it. She’s out hunting for a bounty in the same bar I’m in, but she learns the bounty skipped town a while back. What’s she to do but vent her frustrations on and with the poor, innocent girl at the bar? Only when we’re both pulling our clothes back on do I try to shoot her. Turns out we’re both after the same bounty, and neither of us want competition. There’s at least one scene where one of us gets stabbed and the other loses the bounty to take save the person. There’s definitely a scene where one of us is shirtless and ~tenderly binding the other’s wounds. It’s very romantic and sexy.

Trope fmk: Melarue, Ash, Kel?

Slow Burn: Melarue. I mean, every romance with Mel is a slow burn, I would be no exception. Also I am unworthy. 

Fake Date: Kel. Lemme have a good friend who probably gives amazing hugs fake date me. Though this was so hard, why do I gotta fake date any of these three? XD

Enemies to Lovers: Ash. It’d be heated. I don’t imagine we’d be ENEMIES enemies, just a nice few heated disagreements that can end in smooches.

Trope FMK, 'people I'm pretty sure you actually somewhat like' variant: Qui-Gon, Leia, Obi-Wan

Slow Burn - Obi-Wan! There’s something about him that’s just really conducive to pining—it’s the emotional repression, I think—which just makes for some excellent tension before it culminates. I appreciate a good ‘the love is requited they’re just idiots,’ and I certainly don’t mind being a part of one.

Fake Date - Qui-Gon. First of all, it’s excellent blackmail material—you bet I’d be memorizing every embarrassing fact I learned—but it’d also be a great opportunity to fuck with him. I’m talking embarrassing pet names, implying that we have really, really kinky sex, and of course: I live for the scene where we both accidentally get turned on while making out and he has to awkwardly hide the evidence.

Enemies to Lovers - Leia! Leia Leia Leia Leia Leia!!! As a fellow angry, bossy, small brunette, I would INSTANTLY be half in love with her, with the other half of me wanting to strangle her. We’re both control freaks, we’re both angry, and we’re both really, really bad at expressing our emotions. We’d start out wanting to kill each other, and end up learning to compromise and forgive other people and ourselves. Also, there’d be at least one angsty hatesex scene, and I live for that

It’s SO funny to me that two people have already gone for Bo-Katan even though I’ve never said anything about it. Like, you’re right—I would—but I didn’t realize I was that transparent.

Enemies to Lovers - Boba! There’s something really compelling to me about hatesex when it comes to him. He’s got this natural presence and gravitas that’s really hard to ignore, and I think it’d be really fun to be someone actively sabotaging his operation while ruling him up. He catches me eventually, of course, but it’s too bad that he’s become so impressed with my ability to destroy his shit that he just has to keep me around. You know, so he can improve his defenses by listening to me talk about how I’d destroy him. It’s purely professional

Trope FMK: Dooku, Rael, & Feemor

Slow Burn - Feemor, I guess, though I’ve dated plenty of people who were more interesting than a piece of untoasted white bread and still found them boring, so I suspect it would be a very long burn and then a very short relationship. Sometimes the pining is better than the having

Enemies to Lovers - Rael. We’re both two strongly opinionated people who are, ah, less than enthused about the rules. Difference being, I think he’s reckless, and he would think I’m a coward. There’s a lot of opportunity for spirited philosophical debate, and, ahem, spirited philosophical debate there, and besides, even if I can’t fix him, I can at least demonstrate to him that sometimes good things in life happen too.

Wait hold on I gotta just "smug and competent": Jango, Maul, Dooku

Slow Burn - Jango, because I think we could have some really interesting discussions about heritage and tradition. A lot of his relationship with Mandalorian culture resonates with me in some big ways, and I think there’s something really wonderful and compelling about two people with totally different backgrounds finding common ground and bonding over their similar complex emotions. Also, like, the final ‘they’ve been sneaking glances at each other in the shower for fifty thousand words when are they going to do it’ fuck would be fantastic because that man is strong. I’m talking wall sex.

Fake Date - Dooku, because (as with Qui-Gon) I feel like I could use it to fuck with him to great effect (only this time it’s mean, not cheerful and loving). I take him on an ice cream date. I make him eat rainbow sherbet with sprinkles from the same cone as me. It’s terribly saccharine in every conceivable way, and he hates every minute of it. I catalogue every single flinch and aborted eye roll as another win. He might kill me after, but it’ll have been worth it to be the biggest annoyance in he’s ever faced

Enemies to Lovers - Maul, but, like, during rebels. He’s still… morally ambiguous, but he’s not evil. I feel like he’d be at the point then where, after I hunt him down for kidnapping a friend of mine, rescue them, and get captured myself, he’d be interested in exploring some of the more… physical aspects of being a non-sith. He has Many conflicting emotions about submitting to me, his prisoner, but I help him work through those via the time-honored tradition of domming someone until their mind is blank. He’s always running his mouth. Maybe I can make him do something useful with it for a change.

Trope FMK 'Leaders of the Rebellion' Mon Mothama, Bail Organa, Leia Organa

Slow Burn - Mon Mothma? She’s always struck me as principled, steady, still. I think that lends itself well to a slow burn. I don’t do well with stillness, with the sort of deliberate, slow way she lives her life, but maybe—with her guidance—I can learn.

Fake Date - Bail. There’s something about him that makes him just perfect for the sort of pining fake dating entails. He’s always gentlemanly, always restrained. There’s a brief touch to the small of my back once, a fleeting hand on mine twice, and that’s all I’ve gotten from him in years. And then we’re pretending to be engaged, and touching him is like drowning, only my lungs are filling with honey instead of water and I’m choking on the sweetness as I breathe in more. It’s torture, and it’s worse because I can’t fault him for it, I can’t hate him for it. Of course it’s pretend for him, because he’s brave and clever and kind and compassionate and I’m—me. But just for once, just for one night, I let myself pretend, and the honey is in my mouth and on my skin and I don’t care that I’m drowning.

How about.... Inuyasha, Bulma, and Sailor Jupiter?

Oooo what an interesting trio!

Slow Burn: Inu Yasha. He’s still caught up on Kikyo and we’d probably bicker quite a bit at first but eventually it would all work out, just lots of mutual pining for a while probably because neither of us thinks the other one likes them. Also I read Thief’s, we can slow burn trope our way through the entire series with the brothers. 

Fake Date: Bulma. I’m not going to fight Vegeta for Bulma’s love. I’m just not gonna do it. Am I gonna fake date Bulma to make him jealous for her? Yes. 

Enemies to Lovers: Sailor Jupiter. Lemme be part of like, the Dead Moon Circus or something and then see a potential lightning wife and nope out of evil town. Or get a change of heart through the power of love and justice. Also works. But I like to think my thirst for a girlfriend would somehow do it.
