Proverbs 12:13
Lies will get any man into trouble, but honesty is its own defense. [The Living Bible]
We trap ourselves by telling lies, but we stay out of trouble by living right. [Contemporary English Version]
The gossip of bad people gets them in trouble; the conversation of good people keeps them out of it. [The Message]
A wrongdoer is soon boxed in by his deceitful talk, but the one who does right escapes from trouble unharmed. [The Voice]
A sinful man is trapped by the sin of his lips, but those who are right with God will get away from trouble. [New Life Version]
vil doing jade's make up ?? when ??? ( makes heart eyes at u )
When? He wouldn't know ... it was supposed to be now. " Oh? Suffice it to say, perhaps I've misjudged your punctuality, Jade. " Vil's tone is deadpan when he says this as it is also laced with disappointment. Then again; now looking back — perhaps it were all a rouse on Jade's behalf during his stay at Pomefiore that short while. Most likely, Jade knew Vil would test his might — and test, he most certainly did. It would only be natural to meet expectations during his stay, correct?
Why not meet and possibly exceed the Queen's expectations then dip now that he's out of the dorm (and technically, out of Vil's grasp)? How likely of a cunning Mister Leech ... though, most unbecoming.
This behavior wasn't a big surprise, one would suppose. Still, Vil had every reason to show disdain (which he didn't hold back on). " I had better expectations. I even had reason to think you've gotten cold feet — tsk, for whatever reason. " On a most auspicious of mornings, too. Hm. Disappointing, indeed.
" I don't want to hear excuses. Get in here before I change my mind, we're already behind schedule. "
