In Tuscaloosa for a staff retreat, and met up with my college friend Lezlie! She recommended a Lovely cocktail bar, with the best staff and drinks. We had the Pride cocktails (proceeds go to a local LGBT charity) and I also had an amazing single barrel bourbon.

I love the way she made plans. When I got in touch, she gave me one option, which I LOVED since I don’t know the area—and it was a perfect choice. But best of all, was catching up with this amazing, funny, accomplished woman who I have known for over 20 years. Conversation got heavy at times—about things that happen in mid-life—but we laughed plenty. And we made plans to go to our college homecoming.

Troy State 253, Devry 141 | Pretty Good, Episode 12 An amazing documentary by Jon Bois of SB Nation. Even as someone whose never watched a sport game or a basketball match, I can’t deny the inspiring awe these videos fill me with. To take things I haven’t the foggiest idea about and still be able to get across the same wonder felt towards these events as someone who does.
