I would agree of Stefan’s death (temporarily) just to see Damon’s reaction and how it affects him. That’d be very interesting to see. (Not to see Damon suffer) I am just very curious.

i'm opposed to a temporary death, especially in the finale, because he spent 3 months drowning in a safe after the last finale and killing him, even if it's temporary, in this finale would just be awful. but apparently a character that we've 'grown to love' is going to say goodbye to us before the season ends.

but, seeing damon's reaction to stefan dying (even if it's temporary) would be interesting. maybe that would help start his redemption arc.

well, probably not but you never know.
