Chelsea captain ladies and gentlemen.
Hey guys...
(really anyone but real talk it's mostly men)
This is not meant to be a man hating rant but an educational "oh for fucks sake" rant...
Guys, if a female friend of yours (particularly one you are interested in) has just broken up with their SO, the correct response is something along the lines of:
Oh man, I'm really sorry, are you doing okay? And is there anything I can do to make your day better?
NOT
Oh, so you're fair game now?
And here's why:
1: it's insensitive to your friend who just went through a potentially difficult situation (ie you're being a shit friend)
2: it's really creepy, like sleezly level creepy (not, "I'm hitting on you to make you feel good about yourself so maybe you'll feel better" - there's no such thing where this is a good or supportive thing - even if you have the best of intentions and aren't trying to get laid, guess what, it's still creepy and cruel)
3: you are literally implying that her worth/the level of respect you were giving her is not actually because of her but because she was dating someone....
Any idea why most of us use the "I have a boyfriend" line to get you to leave us the fuck alone? It's because of this exact reason!!!
We know, we fucking KNOW, that you aren't going to accept a no thanks from us but you'll respect that fact that we're "taken" that some other man has "claimed" us (and yes man, because don't get me started on if you have a girlfriend it's either "you need a man to turn you" "can I join" or "oh, so you're still fair game")
But we know that you'll respect that another man has claimed us.
Whether due to a creepy bro code or the fact that you're scared some gorilla will beat the shit out of you for eyeballing his girl... You for some reason respect the fictitious boyfriend than the girl who says no.
So, here is your chance gentlemen, spread the word, help your bros out by being an example of better manhood and calling them out. And if you are the man who does this, realize that the really hot girl who's been your friend this whole time probably trusts you and like s you a lot less now.
In other words being an insensitive prick = lessened company from attractive women and it definitely won't get you laid.

5 Tips to Being UNSTOPPABLE by True Gentlemen
The chivalry is dead. The music is lifeless… Enter True Gentlemen. Cello Heavy, Synthed Out, Broken-Heart Acoustic, Chant-Down, Beat-Driven, Floating on a Good Vibe, Gentlemen’s Music… for the ladies. TRUE GENTLEMEN consists of Sam Oh Talent, Singer, Cellist & Guitarista. IB (of The Higher Concept); Baritone, Wordsmith & Architect. J. Glaze is the Super Producer, Wizard of OZ & Mix Master. We heard their latest song 'Unstoppable' and was inspired. We reached out to IB (who now lives in Argentina pursuing his dream to write a book) & Sam if they could share some wisdom with us on how to be Unstoppable. Find out what they said
Here are 5 Tips to Being Unstoppable from True Gentlemen
1) Pursue your passion solely for the love of doing so
If you have a passion for something and pursue it without attaching any monetary goals to it you will be UNSTOPPABLE. Setting expectations can lead to disappointment, and disappointment can lead to roadblocks, be it a loss of the original love or a loss of motivation. Without the expectation there is only a love for the process.
2)Tune out the Naysayers
No matter the goals you set for yourself there will always be someone telling you that you shouldn’t have them, that you’re on the wrong path, that you’re not good enough, etc. Don’t listen! Follow your heart and know that no matter what others say you are having the time of your life chasing your dreams. Do so and you will be UNSTOPPABLE
3) The 10,000 hour rule
Don’t consider yourself an expert in your field without putting in the work. Nothing is ever handed to you, you have to go out and earn it. Stay grinding, day in and day out, working towards your goals. Read Malcolm Gladwell! If you put enough time into your craft you can become UNSTOPPABLE
4) Surround yourself with positivity
This one goes hand in hand with ignoring the naysayers. Cut those people out of your circle. There’s not enough time in the day. Build a team around you of like minded individuals who bring you up instead of pulling you down. With them by your side you can become UNSTOPPABLE
5) Never quit
This one should go without saying, but it’s so true. Sure, you might never turn your passion into a career. So what!! Let it become your hobby. If you never stop, you are the literal embodiment and definition of the word UNSTOPPABLE.
Listen to their debut single "Unstoppable" from the "Life Through the Monocle" EP coming soon. Have an unstoppable day/week/year!

I met the most amazingly well educated and nicest gentleman I could ever meet at a birthday party, tonight. I was trying to cut a piece of the last slice of one of the cakes on the table (because, although I didn't have any, I still felt bad for taking the last slice, so I wanted a tiny bit of it just to taste it) and he so so kindly moved the plate away from me because that slice was his.
