sae itoshi's wife does not like his fangirls ✧
"sae-channnnn! over here!"
a rather unpleasant feeling was stirring in your stomach.
"wow! you're soooooooo good sae!"
and the forced voices were making you more agitated by the moment.
of course, it's completely normal for your husband to have many fans, especially fangirls. however, this must've been too much.
these girls each decided to wear a fake jersey with his number on it. they even decided to crop the shirt horrendously short.
now you weren't one for bringing down other girls for what they wear, of course, anyone could wear anything they wanted! but there was a pattern emerging with this specific group of girls.
no matter where you were sitting, you could always hear, see or even sense them somewhere in the crowd of 20k+ people. it was starting to get annoying with how often they tried to disrupt sae's flow during gameplay, but there was no rule of kicking people out just for doing that.
sae had no issue with them, even when you talked about it with him one time, he just brushed it off, saying, "i didn't know they existed."
as of right now, he was in the middle of a penalty kick and the girls, with what little brain cells they have, resorted to squealing as loud as they could when clearly, it was not a good time.
anyhow, sae kicks the ball, creating a long, curved arc and he somehow makes it into the goal. you don't question the science behind it because listening to sae talk about it may as well be a story to put you to sleep.
you have to be impressed with how these girls never lose their voices though. even when they've screamed for at least 80 minutes of the game, you can never make out any sort of voice crack that comes from them.
you expect him to lock eyes with you like he does after every goal he's ever scored in a game. but no.
he makes eye contact with those girls.
your eyes narrow, eyebrows furrowing before you're even more irritated when the girls go wild. screaming. shouting. squealing. barking?
seems like sae wanted to see the fans he never saw before.
you scoff under your breath, crossing your arms as you stare at sae unimpressed. why pay attention to those girls when your wife is literally watching from the vip seats?
your wedding ring glints in the stadium lights and you twist it around your ring finger anxiously.
it's the last 10 minutes of the game. sae's team needs to score one more point to cut off the draw from the opposing team.
your eyes are only on sae as he seems to strategically place himself where the ball eventually gets kicked over to him. you never bother to think how this man predicts everything, it's normal by now.
he dribbles the ball past the opposing players, stoic expression plastered on his face. you hold your breath as he approaches the goal, where many of the players have positioned theirself to defend it, almost as if their life was on the line.
sae expertly weaves between players, the ball a blur as he manages to change pace, direction and even makes a player fall over his own feet as he fakes a shot.
after all of that, an opening appeared, his teal eyes shining as they zone in on the place he wants to shoot at. he kicks it hard and fast, the ball shooting directly at the top right corner of the goal.
the whole stadium cheers and the whistle sounds, signalling the end of the game. you smile slightly, breathing out a soft sigh of relief. you never doubted sae.
even after the crowd quietened down for the ceremony, the girls were obnoxiously talking loudly about sae.
"his eyes are to die for!"
"oh my god his hair looks amazing even after all of that!"
you sat in your seat in a pool of dread, just waiting for the awards ceremony to be over. after all medals were awarded, the crowd started to filter out of the stadium.
you took your time grabbing your things, knowing sae would probably be bombarded with interviews from the media.
as always, you walked down to the field, watching sae walk away from his interviews.
of course, he had to interact with the leftover crowd along the way, which also included those girls. the girls were close to falling over the barricade as they reached their hands out with random things in hand, probably for him to sign.
sae never did these things however, he couldn't be bothered.
he just gave a short wave to the crowd, nonchalantly walking past the girls, leaving them with pouts on their faces.
"hello, husband," you said, loud enough for the girls to hear as you were still near the crowd.
their heads turned immediately at that.
after all the games they've been to, had they not known you existed?
"hello... wife?" sae said, almost unsure as he watched you approaching him rather quicker than usual.
"you did well," you smile, sliding your hands around his neck, giving him a slight hug. his scent was mixed with his usual musky scent and a bit of sweat. you didn't care though.
his hands slid awkwardly to your waist, not used to doing this much PDA especially in front of fans. he raised an eyebrow as he took in the way you were smiling like a cheshire cat.
before he knew it, you were leaning in, giving him a soft kiss on the lips.
it wasn't obvious at first, but sae melted into it, reciprocating the kiss thankfully.
the girls gasped, jaws dropped to the floor.
you finally pulled away, still smiling innocently.
"let's go back, i'll make your favourite?" you interlaced your fingers with his, the cold metal of the ring pressed against his own fingers.
sae wore his ring on a chain around his neck. he didn't want to lose his ring any time while playing, it would be an inconvenience.
"sure..." he said, still unsure why you were acting this way.
after you two left, the girls stood there, starstruck looks on their face.
"y'know... hear me out on his wife," one of them said slowly.
the other two of her clique whipped their heads around so fast you could think they snapped off.
"y-you can't just say that- we were literally just cheering for sae!!"
