This Is How You Make Crudite Less Boring And Avoid Being A New York Salt Felon
I have been sent the entire True Lemon/Citrus line to peep, mainly because of a really fun project on xoVain (#comingsoon). I’m using the citrus powders for a really awesome DIY recipe, but you know I had to share my take on their culinary shaker blends.
True Lemon is a cold pressed and crystallized citrus powder that is magical. I’ve been putting it in/on everything. Even more interesting that making dishes sour: adding spices.
I put the Lemon Pepper on every vegetable in my house. It was nothing short of divine. I still used salt, but I use a fine powdered Indian Black Salt to get less salt on more surfaces. Cabbage, cauliflower, cucumber, lettuce, everything tasted better.
As for the Orange Ginger, due to the natural sweetness of orange, I felt it a lovely compliment to desserts (vanilla ice cream!) and sprinkled on fruits to give them a bit of zip.
Lime Cilantro Garlic? That’s for making sneaky simple avocado toasts and barely passable takeout. Lime makes everything better.
I’ve been fairly obsessed with these products, shaking them on nearly everything in sight, and considering how easy they make it to jazz up boring food without any health concern, I would grab immediately, especially if you’re a vegetarian.
