The Devil Wears A Suit and Tie
Hello and welcome! This blog is focused on Theistic Satanism and the processes of enlightenment and apotheosis through a Satanic lens!
This page will have discussions of adult themes such as sexual content, so please do not interact with this blog if you're under 18! I will use the block button liberally!
Who is this guy?
You can call me Sol! My pronouns are he/they, and I am in my late-20's! I enjoy hiking, camping, reading, video games, and fiber crafts. I'm a big believer in personal freedoms and believe that everyone should have the freedom to do what they like unless it infringes on the personal freedoms of another person. I have a "to each their own" worldview on most things in life. I am also a traditional and folkloric witch, and I have practiced witchcraft for 12 years now.
My Style of Satanism
Admittedly, I don't have a good word for what my style of Satanism encompasses. I believe that the term "Satan" is a title, a category of spiritual entity, and the name of an actual individual being, all simultaneously. Entities included in that category include Lucifer, Belial, Azazel, Samael, Leviathan, and The Satan himself.
One of my personal goals in this life is to bring my soul closer towards enlightenment and, through many lives after this one, apotheosis. I believe that any being can be elevated to the status of divine, including people, animals, and otherworldly spirits. I have a very strong belief that all divinity were originally either spirits that we humans elevated to divine status, or were originally divine egregores. From my viewpoint, humankind created the divine just as much as the divine created humanity.
I believe the path to enlightenment and apotheosis lies in earthly experiences just as much as otherworldly ones. We need to experience everything this physical plane has to offer, and learn to have full control over any urges that would lead us to stray from the path of our True Will. While each life has a True Will to accomplish, our souls also have an overall Highest Good to work towards, which I believe is achieved through as many reincarnations as it takes to achieve it. To what end? I'm not sure yet. What comes after is a mystery to me. Maybe one day in this life I'll know, or maybe it won't come to me for many more. I'm okay with it either way.
Anything Else?
In case you couldn't tell from this blog's name, this page is queer friendly! I am an extremely queer person. If that's not cool with you, then you can leave!
I'm very open to people from any and all religions following and interacting with this page! If you'd like to discuss anything related, feel free to send in a message. However, I won't tolerate any sort of proselytizing of any kind. I will just delete your message and block you!
I don't welcome the use of generative AI in any fashion here! I do my best to never post or reblog anything that contains generative AI. If I do, please tell me! I will remove it and apologize as soon as possible.

"Do what thou wilt shall be the whole of the Law." --AL. I. 40
"thou hast no right but to do thy will. Do that, and no other shall say nay." --AL. I. 42-3

There is no god but man.
1. Man has the right to live by his own law--to live in the way that he wills to do: to work as he will: to play as he will: to rest as he will: to die when and how he will.2. Man has the right to eat what he will:to drink what he will: to dwell where he will: to move as he will on the face of the earth.3. Man has the right to think what he will:to speak what he will: to write what he will: to draw, paint, carve, etch, mould, build as he will: to dress as he will.4. Man has the right to love as he will:--"take your fill and will of love as ye will, when, where, and with whom ye will." --AL. I. 515. Man has the right to kill those who would thwart these rights."the slaves shall serve." --AL. II. 58
"Love is the law, love under will." --AL. I. 57

Ascetism, Will and the 8 of Swords
I have been meditating on the 8 of Swords, as I mentioned in a previous article. While also reading about the question of Will, in spiritual, magical, and theological contexts, I keep finding the same rule. Will requires the reduction of options and possibilities. In the Spiritual Exercises of Loyola, in the Rule of Saint Benedict, or even in military life, there is always a surrender of personal will to a method, a rule, a spiritual guide, or a superior. This always comes with a strong mental or physical training, turning the person into an ascetic in the original sense of the word, an athlete of the spirit.
The 8 of Swords is a minor arcana in the mental and rational plane. Its decan is Jupiter in Gemini. So we have the planet of expansion, which is hot and moist, in a sign that is also hot and moist. The result is excessive. Jupiter loves to expand everything it touches and, in mutable Gemini, that expansion becomes a flood of options. The mind multiplies paths endlessly, unable to focus.
All classical methods aim to reduce those inner frictions. The vows of chastity, poverty, and obedience, for example, are meant to free the one who accepts them. The paradox is fewer choices bring more freedom. It is the exact opposite of what modernity teaches, where more options = more happiness.
The 8 of Swords is a card of anti-asceticism, a mind trapped by excess. When it appears, its message is simple: Do as the ancient athlete did. Narrow your focus, reduce the noise, and move forward.

On the Nature of the True Will
"Do what thou wilt shall be the whole of the Law."
– Liber AL vel Legis, Book 1, Verse 40
This is one of those posts where I'll ask that you bear with me, as it will be more opinionated than my standard fare.
Please understand that my goal isn't to force my viewpoint; it's to share my observations and contribute to the conversation.
Let’s dive in.
