When I just want to be me....

I just want to be someone who always smiles and prays for others.. I just want to be someone who always has good thoughts of others.. I just want to be someone who can help others.. Feminism in Islam

Quran 33:35 shows the equality of men and women. The only difference that is made is the difference in relation to each other--the natural difference of function.

The Muslim woman is the first women to be recognized for her economical and legal rights.

The role of women in the Quran is huge. A whole sura is devoted to Mary, mother of Jesus alone. Another sura is named, “The Women.”

It is also said in Quran Al-Nisaa:124, “And whoever does righteous good deeds male or female, and is a true believer in the oneness of Allah, such will enter Paradise and not the least injustice, even to the size of a speck on the back of a date-stone, will be done to them.”

Just because someone states, "I am Muslim," doesn't mean that he/she IS Muslim. Quranic teachings and human Practices can differ IMMENSELY, just like with any other religion. Women and men are just physically different. We can all be equal and still have different, but equal, functions.
