I think the best part about being involved in a fandom is the satisfaction you get when you suck others in. I was at a Christmas party this year and, being the oldest child in the group of 10 others crowded on a bed in front of the TV, I got to pick what we watched. First we watched the Nightmare Before Christmas, but once that was over I couldn't resist putting on Broadchurch. Some of the kids stayed late in the night, long after I'd left, and finished the whole thing in one sitting. Amazing.

This makes my heart so happy.  I do the same. Anytime someone asks for recommendation or is talking about TV shows I'm just like HAVE YA HEARD ABOUT BROADCHURCH? NO? OK LEMME SHOW YOU THIS BEAUTIFUL PIECE OF PERFECTION and so far everyone I've introduced it to has loved it and it's just great.

I agree with you and nonny, Crackchurch IS classier. It is, however, a crack blog, and crack blogs don't have to be all that classy. Broadcrack gives it that extra nudge into the obscene that the blog will probably have anyway, so I'm gonna have to go with Broadcrack.

Yeah, I also think it just rolls off the tongue more?  But yes, broadcrack is more...cracky

I second this motion I haven’t seen battlestar galactica but alphas is amazing I love gary so much

alphas is so great and I weep a lot about the cancellation :((((

Gary is such a great character because although he is mentally disabled, he is still capable of many great things, such as his ability. I don't know if there's a lot of shows out there with mentally disabled/challenged characters and who fights for the good side etc (I'm sadly deprived of many shows and do not recall any), so it was wonderful to see Gary. He is also refreshingly honest and blunt, which may be prickly at first, but in comparison to so many characters who tend to hide the truth or lie, Gary was a breath of fresh air. He's sassy, but honest. And really, Ryan did a really great job with his character and I was really impressed.
