Indulge in the rich and creamy goodness of homemade chocolate truffles. These bite-sized delights are perfect for special occasions or as a sweet treat anytime.
Ingredients: 200g dark chocolate. 100g heavy cream. 50g unsalted butter. 1 tsp vanilla extract. Cocoa powder, for coating.
Instructions: Chop the dark chocolate into small pieces and place it in a heatproof bowl. In a saucepan, heat the heavy cream and unsalted butter over medium heat until it begins to simmer. Remove from heat immediately. Pour the hot cream mixture over the chopped chocolate. Let it sit for a minute to soften the chocolate. Stir the mixture until the chocolate is completely melted and the mixture is smooth. Add the vanilla extract and mix well. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate for 2-3 hours or until the mixture is firm. Once the mixture is firm, use a spoon or a melon baller to scoop out small portions of the chocolate mixture. Roll each portion into a ball and then roll it in cocoa powder to coat. Place the chocolate truffles on a parchment paper-lined tray and refrigerate for an additional 30 minutes to set. Serve the decadent chocolate truffles on a platter and enjoy!
