They hate him. Dark Link had told them. Dark Link found out and told them. Four can never gain their trust back. Four was told to leave. So, he did. And the colours were mad. This is your fault, Vio. Why’d you have to betray us in the first place? Now look at what happened! This is all your fault. I know, alright? I know! And yeah. Vio does know. Vio knows this is all faer fault. Four is struggling to stay stable—stay together. He’s terrified. The chain hates him. The colours—even Red—hate Vio for it. Four feels sick. His head is spinning. Why did this have to happen? Things were going so well! Four had people who liked him, people who he considered family. He felt like he belonged for once.. But, of course, his past—no, Vio’s past—was dragged up and ruined it. Of course it was. Four will never forget the looks they gave him. He’ll never forget how they reacted. Legend had looked so betrayed, and had hidden Hyrule from view. Sky had nearly started crying—and yet, he drew his blade. Sky drew his blade on us. He was so quick to forget the bond they’d created. …come to think of it, why does Four care? They turned on him so fast—he shouldn’t care about people who do that. Four kept walking, deeper into the woods before a familiar face appeared. “Shadow…can I ask a favour?” “I just got back—”Shadow started, but cut off once he saw Four’s expression. Then, he nodded. “Nevermind. What can I do for ya, Link?” “Can I stay with you?” “What about your hero friends?” “Dink…Dink told them about what Vio did. And they don’t want anything to do with me anymore..” “And they believed him?” “...guilt is the only emotion we can’t hide, Shade.” Shadow frowned. “Well, they’re missin out. You’re great.” “Is that a yes?” “Of course you can stay with me.” “...thank you.”Four smiled gently, hugging Shadow. The shade returned the action, yet had a small frown on his face. “Are you okay?” “...Sky drew his blade on me. Of course I’m not. The master sword burns his hands if he draws his blade on another one of us—and yet he let that happen just to draw his blade on me.” “...for heroes, they’re pretty quick to turn on people.” “They looked scared of me.”Four mumbled, hiding his face in the shade’s shoulder. “They looked scared.” “..maybe you should give them a reason to be scared.” Four glanced up, brows furrowed. “What?” “If they want to be scared of you…why not give them a reason to be?”Shadow hummed. “If you wanna, anyways.” …Shadow has a point. If they want to be scared of Four, it could at least be for good reason. ..Vio, is that you? I wish it was. Is it…is it him? I think it is. Four chose to ignore the colours, nodding and looking at Shadow. Why should he deny it? He isn’t a hero. He doesn’t want to be one. …not anymore. And the colours aren’t fighting the decision, so it’s not like he’s going against their wishes. Why would it matter anyways? I’m the body, I’m the reason they exist— Four took a breath, thinking. The chain looked terrified, and he didn’t even do anything. Yet. “Okay,”Four started, a grin on his face. “If it’s a villain they want—it’s a villain they’ll get.”
