My thoughts on Godai's DOB

Every time I think about Godai Yuusuke's birthdate, my mind wanders back to that scene where Ichijou-san gives Trychaser to Godai, and Ichijou-san sets the PIN to 0318 to activate the bike's grip in one smooth action, like there's no question about it. I mean, when exactly did Ichijou-san find out Godai's DOB? Then I remember it must be in episode 1 when Godai showed up at the excavation site; probably Ichijou-san checked the ID at some point. But even then, checking the ID is one thing - remembering the date is another, and setting that as a PIN code is yet something else. Using or remembering the DOB of someone I just met, or even my best friend’s, wouldn't cross my mind if it were me. I just find that kind of too personal, if you know what I mean. To me, the whole process from the parking lot scene to where Godai leaves with Trychaser showed how Ichijou-san was emotionally involved with Godai by that time… though quite oblivious.

What I want to say is, to me, that scene is the moment it hit me how their relationship was going to unfold from there on. Okay, there’s that scene in episode 2, but that scene was progressing way too fast for me and I figured it was there for the fan service… well, at least, that was my first impression. I usually don’t take the gay aspect of Kamen Rider franchise too seriously, but I felt this one was going for the real thing. And my god, it was oh so beautifully platonic. I’m not a believer in the two sharing any physically intimate moments within the TV series, but the possibility alone is, yes, very tempting and enticing.
