So some of y’all might have noticed I’m being filmed at the moment... if not, then guess what?! I’m being filmed at the moment! Yup, by the BBC! But more importantly, by my two very good friends, Mei and Gwen. I’ve known and loved Mei (even though he’s a pain in the ass!) since I did my filming for the tv show about Ty Hafan, and I’ve known (and loved) Gwen for a couple of years, since Mei introduced us. It’s lovely to know that the people filming you are first and foremost your friends. So why am I being filmed, you ask? Because we’re making a show about my life... more specifically, about what it’s like to be part of the first generation to transition from paediatric palliative care, to adult palliative care. I do not want this show to be “inspiration porn”... I want it to be real, to show me as a real 23 year old young woman. I want to show people that, yes, I can be strong and brave and positive, but I can also be sad and angry, and occasionally, a bit of a bitch. I want people to know what life is really like for people like me. All I can say is that I hope I do a good job of telling the story of a generation of amazing people. And I just want to say how much I’m enjoying spending so much time with two great friends, even though they do sometimes ask me questions that make me cry 😂. #filmingforthebbc #makingatvshow #filmingwithfriends #ilovetheseguys #tryingtotellastory #imdoingmybest
