Here is compilation of fixes for Shang Simla, China World in The Sims 3 World Adventures, by now today 5 April 2025.
I made these mods to fix inaccuracies of Chinese culture that the developer - Electronic Arts - made. Without getting paid or compensation at all.

Addition not to fix Shang Simla innacuracies, but still relevant because the developer should did research to give Chinese New Year items from actual Chinese people input rather than making random "Chinese-inspired" items from Western perspective.

EA's graphics from 512x512 with noise was enhanced to 1024x1024 with less noise and adding Simlish Hanzi to replace EA's "bad handwriting" texture on the machine maker. Click this picture below to enlarge.
Enabled to Buy Mode (Appliances > Miscellaneous Appliances), for easy access no need to type cheat "Buydebug" mode ever again.
STBL Renamed mod, from "Fortune Cookies" to "Mooncakes" translated to all languages.
月餅 （Yuèbǐng）= Moon Cake
ⓘ For language translations except Chinese, I use online translator to change word "Fortune Cookies" ---> "Mooncakes" & "Mooncake" depending on singular and plural context. Feel free to correct in comment section if you feel the translation and the grammar is wrong or I accidentally deleted other word.
Icons changed from EA's Fortune Cookies to Mooncake
Reason why I made the change:
Because Shang Simla is taking place in China, not American Chinatown, thus the portrayal of the cookies should be authentic of actual China in real life, not American cookies that are foreign to actual Chinese people.

Mooncakes are cakes originated from China, dates back over 3,000 years to ancient China. Mooncakes are a traditional treat during the Mid-Autumn Festival, which is celebrated on the 15th day of the eighth month of the lunar calendar.
Mooncakes are the must-eat Mid-Autumn food in China. They are a traditional Chinese pastry. Their round shape and sweet flavor symbolize completeness and sweetness.
At the Mid-Autumn Festival, people eat mooncakes together with family, or present mooncakes to relatives or friends, to express their love and best wishes. Mooncakes are usually eaten after dinner while admiring the moon.

Fortune Cookies are made in USA and only exist in USA, but mistaken by USA people themselves as "Chinese" cookies just because the cookies are sold in American Chinese restaurant in USA. We actual Chinese live on our country have never seen Fortune Cookies, as we only know the presence of those cookies in Hollywood (U.S.A.) movies.
Not just culture inaccuracy, I enabled this machine maker in Buy Mode section for easy access because this item must have been forgotten in the corner and only been played once when the player visit Shang Simla.
Colour & Presets: Same as original EA's: 3 Presets & original EA's Fortune Cookies Machine Maker colour channels.
How to Change Default EA's Fortune Cookies to Mooncake in Shang Simla world.
Fortune Cookies maker in Shang Simla doesn't automatically change to Mooncake due to different coding in-game.
❗You must buy Mooncake Machine Maker from Buy Mode (Appliances > Miscellaneous Appliances) to load the texture first, then travel to Shang Simla world, do "Reset Textures" using Nraas' Debug Enabler.
You need to install Nraas' Debug Enabler (Core mod by Twallan) in order to work correctly ❗
Follow these steps to reset textures:
Click on the Fortune Cookies Maker > Nraas > Debug Enabler > Options: Lucky Factory Mooncake Maker > Object… > Reset Textures > (Choose one) All Sims3.Gameplay.Objects.Appliances.FortuneCookieMaker or This Object

These 3 STBL Renamed Mods are separated, so you can choose 1 / 2 / all 3 of them. All these mods were tested and working well with each other Mods and with my previous STBL Renamed Mods in Spring Rolls and Mooncake Machine Maker.
I wondered why nobody made these renamed mods for almost 16 years since The Sims has been released from year 2009, therefore I finally made these mods by my own.
1. "Asian" --> "Chinese"
Reason why I made the change:
"Asian" term is too broad. Asia is one big continent, consists of 48 countries. Southeast Asians, South Asians, Western Asians do not eat using chopsticks and do not have traditional architecture like East Asians. East Asians themselves such as Japan and Korea have different culture and architecture from China. If the developer of this game wanted to point one country, Shang Simla, then it should be China / Chinese only.
It is like calling Champs Les Sims "European" and Al Simhara "African". Champs Les Sims is called "French" and Al Simhara "Egyptian", why Shang Simla is called "Asian", not "Chinese" instead?
This mod changed the name of Asian in Game Tip, Trait, Tourist, object name of building items such as bridge and rocks that you can find in CAW (Create-A-World) for building World, but I cannot run the application. Please check the name change if you can run CAW application.
Languages are in English, Chinese, Japanese, Korean only.
To be honest I am tired. If you wanted to translate to your language, you can do it by open this .package file on EasySTBLManager by (†) CmarNYC, click "Copy to Missing" > Edit to your language> Save the .package. > Open .package in s3pe > Delete unnecessary language strings if you want.
2. "Endowments" --> "Breasts"
Reason why I made the change:
This text keeps appearing many times on loading screen, so I had to change the word because the word "Endowments" itself is too forced, to censor the name of adult female human body part, in this video game with Teen Rating.
Breasts are scientifically & biologically correct term to call upper part of female human body made of fat with mammary glands to give milk to her baby, and they are not genitalia. As they started to develop since young girls were pre-teen, which are the target demographic of The Sims game itself, and adult women themselves wanting to adjust both their own real life breasts and their Sims' breasts, so nothing sexual or taboo here.
Languages: All Languages. (Using online translator, feel free to comment to correct if there was wrong translation).
3. "Goopy Carbonara" ---> "Carbonara"
Reason why I made the change:
I know that "Goopy" name was from Goopy Gilscarbo from The Sims 2 character.
But for me, as I have been playing The Sims 3 since the base game released in year 2009, I wanted the name of food was just like in real life. That's it. No Goopy. Just "Carbonara".
The Traditional Chinese language version did not translated directly to "Goopy Carbonara", but instead other food pasta menu and it was incorrect. 醬料通心粉 (Macaroni with sauce) --> 卡邦尼意粉 (Carbonara)
While the Japanese translation it was translated directly to "Goopy Carbonara" in katakana, I deleted the グーピー word.
Languages are in English, Chinese, Japanese only.
Known issues: ⚠️ These mods may not be compatible with other STBL renamed mods made by other Modders due to accidental same instance code used by other Modders that can make other Rename mods you installed before this mod will revert back to original word.

TS3 World Adventures - Stir Fry Texture Replacement Mod

5 textures to replace EA's default Stir-Fry texture.
Reason why I made the change:
EA wrongly represented Vegetable Stir-Fry that supposedly Chinese dish, but looking like Italian or European dish (the orange looking vegetables are separated with other vegetables, the green yellowish colour, which has weird colour that doesn't look appetizing. And there is European style leaf on the plate). Chinese style stir-fry combines all ingredients into one, not separating them into two.
I consider the Stir-Fry is Vegetable Stir-Fry. I followed the Traditional Chinese version of the game: 炒菜 ， which means Vegetable Stir-Fry. Chinese style stir-fry implements a lot of vegetables in the dish.
Classic Maxis Match. I found 256 pixel texture on S3pe, so I made use of this texture, replacing the default 128 blurry texture. So you can see the details more clearly: Mushrooms, green peppers, chili.
The rest are custom textures I took from various websites.
蒜蓉炒青菜 SuanRongChaoQingCai ---> Bok Choy vegetables with garlic and chili.
菜心炒蝦仁 CaiXinChaoXiaRen ----> Cai Sim vegetables with prawn
長豆炒蘑菇 ZhangDouChaoMoGu ----> Long beans with mushrooms
西兰花炒蘑菇 XiLanHuaChaoMoGu ---> Broccoli with carrots and mushrooms
I made the uncooked textures on pan. Maxis Match using the same EA texture, so I didn't make change for Maxis Match.
All GeoStates (Full, Half, Empty) are working. This mod only replacing the texture.

TS3 World Adventures - Chinese Chopsticks Longer & Texture Replacement Mod

New custom mesh and 5 textures to replace EA default chopsticks.
Reason why I made the change:
Chopsticks portrayed in The Sims 3 World Adventures are too short. Shang Simla is China world, therefore chopsticks in-game should be portrayed as Chinese chopsticks, which are the longest compared to Japanese and Korean chopsticks.
EA Default Chopsticks. Short, too boxy and have pixelated & stretched texture of "random Simlish Chinese writing".
The modded textures:
福 ( Fú ) means happiness, luck, blessing, good fortune.
龙 ( Lóng ) Chinese Dragon symbolizes gods who control rain, weather, and seasons; kind, benevolent, powerful, who bring luck and prosperity.
Peacock symbolizes "grow old together" and will bring harmony to the couple and a long-lasting marriage.
FuZi_Mu ---> Hanzi writing "Fú" with wooden texture.
2. BaiNianHaoHe ---> Peacocks with Hanzi writing "BaiNianHaoHe" / 【百年好合】 means "To bless this unison with harmony that would last over hundred years".
In short, wishing the couple everlasting eternal love.
Recommended for your couple Sims and especially have just married.
3. Long_HuangSe ---> Yellow colour and has Chinese dragon image with Hanzi writing "Lóng".
4. FuZi_HeiSe ---> Hanzi writing "Fú" with black colour.
5. FuZi_HongSe ---> Hanzi writing "Fú" with red colour.
This is custom 3D mesh I created by myself. The bottom end of chopsticks has round shape and upper end has rectangle shape.
I increased the size of texture to 1024 pixels. You can see the details on the chopsticks clearly.
⚠️ Disclaimer: The mod doesn't alter the animation in-game. If you see the chopsticks going through Sim's hand, you should ask that to EA employees why they made the default chopsticks position and animation like that. Default EA The Sims 3 chopsticks are already going through the Sim's hand in the game.

Sim must have Asian trait to have chopsticks while eating.
Mooncake Maker as default replacement for Fortune Cookies Maker from TS3 World Adventures in Shang Simla, China.
As you know, Fortune Cookies are cookies originated from United States of America, which is not correct to portray cakes/cookies/pastries that are supposedly from China.
Not sure to publish it because it feels not finished yet.
In Buy Mode CAS is alright: High resolution (1024), right texture.
After click finish to exit CAS mode, it reverts to Low resolution (default EA texture is 512) and wrong texture (bad UV-Mapping) for preset 1. Other presets have right texture, but in low resolution.
So far the GeoStates (Full, half, empty states) are working.
The mesh of Mooncakes are fine.
I'm not script modder, therefore cannot remove or change functionality of default EA's Fortune Cookies lucky number and paper thing.

Falling on the 15th day of the eighth lunar month, it's celebrated primarily in East and Southeast Asia and is a time for families to gather to sample autumn harvests, light lanterns and admire what's believed to be the fullest moon of the year.
In 2024, the Mid-Autumn Festival, or the Moon Festival, falls on September 17.
Mid-Autumn Festival became an official celebration in China during the Tang Dynasty (618-907 CE).
It was described as a day for emperors to celebrate the year's harvest by giving offerings to the moon and hosting a great feast.
Today, the Mid-Autumn Festival is an incredibly important family gathering – it's when "People and the moon reunite to form a full circle," as an old saying goes.
Mid-Autumn Festival is shrouded in myth. One of the most beloved – and tragic – pieces of folklore tells the story of how a woman named Chang'e became the moon goddess.
One of the biggest stars of the Mid-Autumn Festival is the Mooncake. The term "Mooncake" was first found in 1274 AD in author Wu Zimu's "Book of Dreams," and the first cookbook on how to prepare mooncakes was published in 1792.
While there are many variations of mooncakes, the most famous is the classic Cantonese version: a soft pastry filled with sweet lotus seed paste and savory salted duck egg yolk.

I don’t work for Maxis The Sims 3 Studio in San Francisco, I don’t work for EA Shanghai, I’m just correcting Maxis The Sims 3 Studio employee’s job due to incorrectly and horribly wrong of Chinese dragon colour portrayal in Shang Simla’s World Adventures Expansion Pack.
Do not just slap red colour to every Chinese object just because you think red is considered as lucky colour in Chinese culture. Especially this is statue and fountain to spurt water. To designers, please recall University subject of colour theory, culture, and art history.
Chinese dragon is traditionally coloured GOLD. Not red. It’s obvious the employee who colored the Shang Simla’s dragon fountain must be taking stereotype from Mushu, comedic tiny red “dragon” from animated movie Disney’s Mulan (1998), didn’t consult to Chinese person at all.
Chinese dragons are gods who control rain, weather, and seasons.
Chinese dragons are kind, benevolent, powerful, who bring luck and prosperous. In Chinese New Year, there is Dragon Dance (the dragon has gold colour) as symbol for good luck.

Specular --> More shinier to resemble gold dragon statue in real life
Buyable object has automatic gold colour default replacement from catalogue.
Known issues:
There are old thumbnails unchanged on CAS mode, please ignore it. The Dragon color is still gold.
Dragon fountain in Shang Simla doesn’t automatically change to gold colour due to different coding in-game (it has different fountain stone colour too). ❗ You need to install Nraas’ Debug Enabler (Core mod by Twallan) in order to work correctly ❗

The only Chinese dragon fountain colours are gold, jade, greyish stone colour, white, black. Not red. Images:
Because “sculpture_AsianDinnerSet” from Shang Simla, TS3 World Adventures, is very badly made, bad mesh, too big until its “chopsticks” looks similar to Chinese incense for praying to our deity and ancestors, which is inappropriate to put on dining table, moreover, too tacky.
Therefore, I made the proper version of storage for eating utensils on dining table with proper mesh of chopsticks and one stack of ordinary bowls and spoon for soup.
2 presets:
Porcelain with classic white and blue traditional Chinese colour. 1 Recolourable channel >> The chopsticks.
3 Recolourable channels >>The inner, outer storage and chopsticks.
