Isol Isle Family Portraits P4

It likely surprises no one that I took a bunch of screencaps of the triplets during my portrait shoot. Not just because they’re cute, or because I spent waaaaaaay more time searching for child poses than adults, but mostly because I knew that they’d be aging up to teen soon.

So this week the shots I’m sharing are all of the Triplets. This particular post features individual shots, and if I’m not mistaken, none of the other family members have solo shots.

Usually when I do a triplet focused post I place the images of the kids in order of birth. This time, I posted Pride, the middle child first, because her solo shot features the same pose from the original family portrait. I just repositioned her on the couch in order to fit the pose and draw more attention to my props.

Next up is the youngest, Assiduous, who at this point may have been monopolizing the poses I originally had available for children. Although previous poses fit her personality, I think I just used this to see how it looked. Without Ru, Pride’s pose also doesn’t really fit her.

Finally we’ve got Integrity in a different pose from their other shots, and I would say, save for the facial expression, I could see them sitting this way and being snapped off guard.

Tatiana had slipped past Conquer as he said goodbye to the woman she’d seen him with at the pool party. She toweled off and slipped her cover up on, then flopped down on a bench they’d claimed when they’d arrived. As she slid over a seat to grab herself an ice cold soda, Conquer sat beside her staring out at the water Glamour was emerging from.

Casual conversation began. It was comfortable. More comfortable than it had been and both Tatiana and Conquer were relieved although for completely different reasons. Glamour, spotting the duo and still hoping for entertainment, examined her best friend for any indication of a blush. Left wanting, she called out to her uncle’s dog, and then she and the pup played fetch until Lawrence approached with a growling stomach.

Spring - Year 3

Ru’s day off took him all over the home side of the island.

After fishing he stored the part of his catch he didn’t intend to eat that day, and stopped to say hello to the family dogs on his way to visit Shocc’s workshop.

At the Blacksmith, he worked on a private project (likely a decorative item for the house), while Shocc and Integrity, who was apprenticing with him, finished up a larger project (no idea what this was though, lol).

Once this stop was complete, Ru headed back to the house, where he quickly washed up, before preparing some fresh salmon he’d caught during his morning fishing trip.

With his second meal of the day complete, he ate in silence, before diving into yet another cookbook, and technically violating his day off rules to act very much like his workaholic husband.

Spring - Year 3

Justice enjoys a bit of surfing, riding waves beneath a still brightening sky.

Closer to home, Pride breaks from housework to do her homework. A little later, unbeknownst to both of them, her big brother joins her in this activity, completing his assignment on the beach.

At the same time, Assiduous and Moma FroAnhke head out across the island to gather food.

By the time they arrive at their destination they’ve missed Justice, who spent the morning on the water just beyond their gathering spot.

By the time Conquer had appeased his pooch, and joined the others soaking in the sun, lively gangs of patrons began to arrive. Sims, some strange and others familiar poured in, some in boats on the water, others the road near the bar, with a few stragglers ambling down the footpath leading down from the Art Institute.

As Conquer already suspected he’d prefer Surf Beach at the crack of dawn with his board tucked under his arm, he grabbed a beer and a book which also helped him ignore the musical tastes and conversations of his much younger company.

As the afternoon wore on and Neji busied himself discovering pieces for his growing treasure hoard, the kids found the ocean palatable again. First, Tatiana wondered off to kick up waves of salt water, then Lawrence began to coaxing his girlfriend into a dip.

After loading into the speedboat the gang of 4, plus Neji, headed to the Surf Shack on the little sister to rent some equipment.

Lawrence (but really me 😁) wanted to try out waterskiing, and while Conquer hadn’t been interested in the activity previously* the thought of Lawrence tumbling into the sea like a Saturday morning cartoon character was just too much for the older man to resist.

See… he and Glamour are really related.

After fitting the boat with a rope and handle and doing up the bindings on a set of skis young sim Lum rolled off the side of the boat With Conquer egging him on. Glamour and Tatiana were also hooting and hollering, but nowhere near as enthusiastically.

Once Lawrence was sure he had a good hold on the harness, and his feet beneath him, he signaled Conquer to start the engines.

For a sim with slightly below average athletic skill, Lawrence did surprisingly well after a few moments of yelling and getting sprayed in the face. Beginners luck eventually wore out, however. Lawrence lost his balance, tilted backwards and was dragged along uncomfortably until everyone stopped laughing and switched to being concerned.

Conquer killed the engine and fished Lawrence out of the sea. All of the sims laughed again, while Neji pouted like the only adult among them. Then they all agreed that was the end of this sports adventure.

*This is totally not true. I planned to try this out when Jessie was visiting, but I didn’t know you had to have a specific boat, just like I didn’t know you can’t fish from a speedboat 🤷🏽‍♀️

The motions of the day continued with Lawrence finishing up his yogurt, and Tatiana making tea. Just for herself this time.

While the younger sims danced around each other in the kitchen, Conquer had his turn with the newspaper. Ignoring the historical piece on the cover in order to shift through the body for sales. Sometime after he got caught up reading a crime story, Lawrence snuck past his girlfriend on the stares to wash up and dress.

Glamour said good afternoon to her uncle by gently patting him on the head as she passed to enter the kitchen. There she nodded to her bestie (who’d come downstairs before Glamour got out of bed) then rummaged through Conquer’s dry goods to once again finish off a box of cookies.

Spring - Year 3

Justice slept in after returning so late the night before. By the time he had his first meal the other members of his household had left or were fully engaged in chores.

So that Ru could have his day off, Justice took on the adults usual activites.

He saw to the dishes and cleaning the kitchen after dressing.

Then the teen mopped the upper level where the laundry was hung, and would later remove the clothes from the lines once they were dry.

Before that time, however, he headed to the gatherer’s lot to see to Ru’s garden.
