Somewhere, far away, in a valley covered by forest...
...a group of exiled people strives to survive and rebuild a society of their own.
I tried my hands at @danjaleys awesome new and intriguing Banished Build a City Challenge and you might see me uploading some pictures of my settlers and my attempt at this challenge more often from now on 🤓 So far it’s been quite a blast!
Evening draws near and our settlers gather around the campfire to roast the food they managed to gather today; some berries, mushrooms and a surprisingly large amount of fish.
Yorrick also decides to explore a bit deeper into the woods.
Lucky him -- he finds quite a large amount of rocks. And what better way to help out the settlement by simply mining away? One of them has to do it, after all.
After breakfast, Eda heads to the lake for some more fishing.
And what a lovely surprise! Two deer present themselves to her. She was able to watch one of them successfully, but it gallopped away when she wanted to pet it.
Nevertheless, no one can take this moment away from her ever again.
Yorrick is the first one to wake up. After he snacks a berry, he’s already off chopping some trees.
It might just be a coincidence, but soon after, the rest of our settlers wake up as well. Eda seems particularly hungry.
The settlers have pitched up a camp around their covered wagon.
While Chadwyck and Ollis are already eagerly chopping up trees for the campfire later that day, the teens and children are mainly socializing and trying to get to know each other a little better.
Whil everybody is already fast asleep, Ollis and Lynne spend some quality time flirting...
...and woohooing in on of the camp’s bushes 🤭 (They did this completely autonomous as well, I was rather suprised by that!)
A majestic stag steps out into the clearing...
Chadwyck doesn’t even blink before he pulls out his bow and tries shooting the deer for some delicious fresh meat. Unfortunately, his arrow misses the deer and it manages to run away.
In order for my settlers to harvest some steak plants (which I have hidden on another lot), my sims have to do a challenge shot with the bow and at least get 250 points for their hunt to be successful. If they miss, the deer will disappear for a few days before they’re allowed to try their luck again. Poor Chadwyck only got 90 points. He should definitely practice his archery.
