A fix for weird shiny stripes on eyes and other content (TS4)
The previous tutorial helped to prevent eyelashes from peeking through alpha hair, but probably you started noticing weird stripes on eyes, accessories, clothes etc.
Same thing - I found out - can also happen with shoes made by Madlen and I think there is some other content out there.
You will need Sims4Studio (2.5.0.4 and up) again. And these files (blank specular images).
1. Open package through “My Projects”
2. Switch to Warehouse tab and look for the RLES entry. There should be only one per package, if the package is not merged.
3. On the right side you see an image, one part grey, the other black and white stripes. The black and white stripes are the cause of the distortion.
4. Click on “Import” and locate the file “blank-specular.png” you downloaded from me (or made yourself). The file “blank-specular.mask.png” must be in the same folder! S4S will import it automatically.
5. The image should now change to one half grey, the other black. Now save your file and you’re done!
