TSA7 Goodbye Fellows / Das verflixte 7. Jahr
Nun hatte auch die siebte Runde unseres Transsolar Academy Ausbildungsprogramms ihren offiziellen Abschluss. Zu Beginn, Anfang des Jahres 2020, schien die Welt noch in Ordnung, doch dann kam die Pandemie mit ihren Einschränkungen und hat das Ausbildungsprogramm stark beeinflusst: Online-Training und Bildschirmpräsenz statt Dynamik aus unterschiedlichen Gruppen und direktem Feedback prägten diese Academy sehr. Distanz statt Austausch mit der Stammbelegschaft, denn der war nur deutlich reduziert möglich. Virtualisierte Treffen haben eine deutlich reduzierte Qualität. Spontanität fällt aus, kultureller Austausch ist minimiert. Die Fellows haben sich tapfer gehalten und das Beste draus gemacht, trotz all der zusätzlichen Schwierigkeiten, die mit Homeoffice und VPN-Arbeitswelt noch hinzukommen zu allen anderen Problemen des Alltags des Lebens in einer fremden Stadt. Wir wünschen uns, dass wir uns unter besseren Bedingungen bald mal wieder treffen und lasst uns auf jeden Fall in Kontakt bleiben. Also, Fellows, macht es gut, und bleibt weiter 'negativ'!
Now the seventh round of our Transsolar Academy training program has come to an end. At the beginning of 2020, everything seemed to be in order, but then the pandemic hit and with it the restrictions that strongly influenced our training program: Online training and screen presence instead of a dynamic work flow within the various Transsolar groups and peers with direct feedback characterized this Academy very much. Distance instead of exchange with colleague, because that was only possible in a significantly reduced way.
Virtual meetings have a significantly reduced quality. Spontaneity is rather absent, cultural exchange is minimized. The Fellows made the best of it, despite all the additional difficulties that come with home office and VPN work on top of all the other problems of everyday life in a foreign country.
We hope to meet again soon and under better circumstances and let's keep in touch until then. Well, Fellows, take care and keep on staying 'negative'!
