80 Years of Lois Lane

On April 18, 1938 - 80 years ago today - Superman burst into life from the cover of Action Comics #1. He’s become a world-wide phenomenon since then, and is rightly being celebrated today. But Lois Lane was also in Action Comics #1, and is (as I’ve pointed out countless times) the only other aspect of the feature to appear in that landmark issue besides Clark (Superman) Kent himself.

DC Comics largely ignored her for the 75th anniversary - until #LoisLane75yrs started trending on social media and they were inundated with reminders and demands for acknowledgement. Five years on, that same DC management seems to have forgotten her again (though coming around). So, while so much of the internet celebrates the last son of Krypton, I thought I’d show a pictorial celebration of the first lady of comics, the ultimate reporter, Lois Lane.
