ROs reactions to MC saying they can hold the whole world in their hands befire cupping ROs face and going "You are my world"?

I'm actually really convinced that some of you all send in the most adorable asks with the explicit goal of making J's life difficult LOL. It's fine, they deserve to have their life made more difficult in this manner.

S would probably freeze up a little and, honest to God, get a teensy bit flustered. They'd probably laugh and tell MC to stop messing around, lol.

D would probably be sooo happy if MC did that to them. They'd laugh brightly and hold MC's face in their own hands, commenting something like "how funny, then, that mine can be held so easily as well."

N would probably try and play it cool, replying with a hum and a 'how sweet of you' kind of comment. Internally they are dying of cuteness aggression.

...which is probably a slight bit less embarrassing than J, who's likely to be dying of the profoundly deep mix of adoration, embarrassment, and the fact that they were actually super ready to argue with MC on how mathematically impossible it would be for one person — even the great giants of legend — to be able to wrap their hands around the calculated equatorial circumference of 3,300 yojana.

How would they (and other ROs) react to a tiny dom/top MC who's meek in the streets but a beast in the sheets?

Definitely prefers it position-wise and often in other ways too because they can be a little conscious of their size/strength and even more so in close intimacy, so being able to let their partner have the upper hand in either position or initiative feels good for them.

I think the switch-up would be what gets most of the ROs, for sure. S would find it hella amusing and would probably up the teasing while MC's still in 'streets' mode. D would be pleasantly surprised and probably really into it, tbh. N would frankly treat it like a challenge kind of, tbh, since they prefer being the dom/top. J's just relieved that MC knows what they're doing and would be far too shy to admit that they're liking what MC's doing, too.

how would the ROs be like playing D&D? (bonus: favorite species + class to play) (bonus bonus: what about the heirs?)

I have never actually played D&D despite playing other TTRPGs. I’m most familiar with Daggerheart so hopefully you won’t mind me using that as the game of choice here!

S: The type of person to choose the worst possible choice every time, simply for the chaos factor. Loves to play characters who are morally ambiguous and as likely to cut a deal for the guild as they are to cut a deal with the enemy. They enjoy the roleplaying aspect a lot and love seeing others’ (players, GM) reactions to their curveballs. Probably would play a katari rogue.

D: The type that is the unquestioned tank of the group. Probably never hoards hope and is always using them up to bolster others’ decisions, good (N, J) or bad (S). Finds the roleplaying part kind of hard, but a total beast when it comes to actual combat mech, and the type the squad would actually end up listening to. Probably would play a giant guardian.

N: 100% here for the plot, the worldbuilding, the relationships, the lore. Likely to play the support role in the group most of the time, the one who’s always trying to talk their way out of combat and checking in with the rest of the members during rests. Because they’re so good at creating the story and keeping others engaged with it, they’re the ones likely drawing J and D more into the roleplaying part of it. Likely to play a human druid.

J: That one who keeps the entire campaign organised in their binder? That’s J. They’re keeping track of their inventory, the group’s inventory, everyone’s hope/GM’s fear, and always writing up the summaries of the session’s events for everyone else to have after it’s done. They like to approach a session through the lens of problem-solving and while they seem to be annoyed every time D heads into combat too easily and S is just doing random things, the challenge associated with wrangling the unexpected is what they enjoy the most. Probably would play an elf wizard.

Ratnavali: The type of player that is social engineering their way through to success. Builds up her character to be extremely strong when retaliating against attacks. Probably would play a faun bard.

Soma: Wtf is backstory and roleplay? Soma would treat it like it was a more complicated game of chess and gaslighting at once. Does he want to win? Not sure. Does he just want to inflict damage upon whomever he feels like? Sure. Would likely play an infernis ranger.

Adithyavardhan: Probably won’t play unless he’s the GM tbh.

If each RO could tell their younger self something, what would it be?

Okay wow, excellent question!

S: “Things get worse before they get better — because you will make sure it ends up better.”

D: “Today is more important than yesterday and tomorrow.”

N: “You are enough.”

J: “You cannot change people or force outcomes, so focus only on your actions.”

ROs reactions to a stoic MC who keeps their stony face but blushes profusely whenever RO interacts with them?

It would probably depend on where the RO/MC relationship stands, of course, but

S would find it highly amusing at any point of the relationship (and I think you get a hint of this in the prologue, depending on your choices). They would create more opportunities just to make MC blush more, or even get flustered.

D would really find it flattering, but I don't think they'd take advantage of it like S clearly would. If they're also down bad for MC, it would just be both of them getting a bit awkward and S would deny that's it's a blush, per se, but we know better.

For N, this is the kind of information they would file away with a smile. It's flattering, for sure, and depending on where the relationship stands, they may try and use it if they feel like someone else is showing interest in MC. This would happen if MC and N were more established, though.

J would ask MC if they're feeling feverish or ill, I'm afraid.

Sorry for the rapid fire but:

How wpuld the ROs be as parents? How do they feel about adoption? How would they handle MC's pregnancy? How would female ROs handle their own pregnancies?

Really great questions, I'll answer some more briefly than others though, because... well, spoiler-adjacent :c

Overall, the ROs would definitely be dutiful as parents. Arkavalan society places great emphasis on social & civic duty, and being a good caretaker of a young life that will be under their responsibility is pretty important for most people. This easily applies to adoption and fostering as well, because Arkavalan society rarely views biological legacy as the sole determinator of lineage.

As for the ROs individually, I feel like it sounds like a cop out but all of them would definitely want to be good parents for any children of theirs. We already know that S has a soft spot for children, D's practically a child at heart, N and J are both dutiful by nature. Not that it's absent of love, but the latter would show it mostly in the minutiae of what they'd do for a child.

Pregnancy talk below the cut!

Some of the ROs would deal with their partner being pregnant better than others, to be sure. Without going too much into the details (spoiler territory), S and J would be more the anxious types that may need some reassurance from their own partner. D and N are naturally protective, so I can imagine that this would be a reason for them to lean into that more.

As far as dealing with pregnancy themselves. Samira would probably find the diminishing physical autonomy the most perplexing, followed by Devika who would find it difficult to adjust to her changing body after spending so much of her life focused on its condition. Jaya would probably have the least change in her lifestyle and day-to-day life if she were to get pregnant but would probably cut her partner the least slack. She's working very hard for the sake of the baby and she expects no less from her partner! Nejma would internalise a lot of her discomfort not only for the sake of her partner, but for her own sanity too, so I hope that her partner can support her even based on what's unspoken, you know?

One thing about J is the fact that they can love someone to the ends of the universe and back, but it would absolutely not stop them from debating at any given moment with the same person tbh.

I had this thought late, but imagine a MC that purposefully says something that's wildly incorrect to J 'cause MC wants to argue. Being a brat is their love language lmao

Ragebaiting J could be an Olympic sport tbh. And a brat MC could very well excel at it, but tbf I don’t see J being much of a tamer. They’re just #ragebaited.

The childhood friend/crush ask was too sweet! And considering how MC's own childhood was kinda glossed over without too many details who's to say it's not canon compliant in addition to canon adjacent? (Even if we go into RO childhood details, MC could easily have been part of it offscreen)

Adding to this, RO's reactions if MC remarked in a flirty yet genuine tone that the RO really grew up to be handsome/beautiful?

Well tbh I was thinking of the logistics based on where MC grew up vs where the ROs grew up but you know what, distance schmistance.

As for your next question, here goes:

S: Would probably freeze up for a millisecond, before trying to smoothly laugh it off, keyword being 'trying'. They would probably tell MC if they say things like that with an expression like that, then S might actually believe what MC's telling them. It's glib and even nonchalant, but it's all to hide their racing heart underneath.

D: Absolutely delighted and flustered at the same time. I can imagine them covering the grin they cannot help but bear yet still not wanting to break eye contact with MC. They'd probably say something like "and here I thought I was the one supposed to be sweeping you off your feet!"

N: Would probably freeze mid-motion, then continuing like they had been, as per normal but there's the fiercest blush climbing from their collar to the tips of their ears. If MC seemed to be amused by that, I can see them making some sort of exasperated comment about how if it is an attempt at distracting themself, then it is working too well, and to please not do that again.

J: Totally derailed, don't even try to get them back on track. They're just looking back at MC in total disbelief, with a blush slowly creeping across their face. They probably wish they were like N and just moving on but pretty much all their words for the next few minutes are just disjointed stammering.
