This One’s a Rant, Oops

Warning: swearing and me being generally pissed off. Feel free to disregard this. We’ll be back to my regularly scheduled blogging in a moment. I’m generally all for internet love, this is just me being angry and disregarding my own policies for a moment. 

alllllright. Listen up here. I have zero desire to get involved in dumbass discourse because god knows that there’s enough of that in our fandom as is. But, as an aspec fander, I really feel the need to say something here:

Dear hate anons, call-out posters, etc.

Kindly go fuck yourself. Thomas does not deserve your shit. You find one of the LEAST problematic youtubers of all time, and you go after him for one slip up that was immediately corrected and apologized for. You stan people like sam-fucking-pepper, but you see this positive influence floating around tumblr and you say “ah, yes, let’s attack him. He’s never intentionally done anything wrong. a perfect target”

But let’s be real, this isn’t about Thomas. This is about you being a fucking gatekeeper in the lgbtq+ community. Because Thomas feels that people deserve to be welcomed. Because he politely calls you out on your bullshit when you try and bait him with loaded asks. it’s about you having an issue with me. Aspecs aren’t oppressed enough? If you did any fucking research, you’d know that wasn’t true. I’m not very public on my sexuality, and you wouldn’t believe the shit people have said to me thinking I would agree with them. Is being ace or aro the same as being gay? Of course fucking not. But being gay isn’t the same as being trans. Being trans isn’t the same as being poly. We’re all different, and that’s why we’re a community. We’re together in our uniqueness, that’s the beauty of it! Your bullshit has no place in pride, this month or any. And you certainly have no right to go and slander innocent people for disagreeing with you on TUMBLR. Jesus Christ, this site is the birthplace of discourse, get over yourselves, you’re not that fucking important.
