RULES • You should use a helmet. • Singlespeed, fixedgear or geared bikes are allowed - ride what you prefer. It all started as a single speed race and you do not need more than one gear for this ride. • You ride on your own risk. • This is not a race, streets are not closed and you are just on a ride together with some other people, that you met by accident.

MORE New year - new challenge - old destination. This time we start in Vienna again, meet us at the Citybiker.at store at 9:30. Tell us that your team (two riders per team) arrived, get yourself a free tea or coffee at the shop, and at the bakery “Kornradl” you a get special deal on organic pastries. Tell us what track you want to follow. Yes you heard right, we will offer two variations for you to get to Bratislava. The first route will follow the classic tracks. This is it: https://ridewithgps.com/routes/26910589 nothing to worry. The first 10km out of town we will ride together. Due to the snow covered tracks, I chose a short version, with some graveling in the beginning at the Marchfeldkanal (thanks to the cold weather, it should not be to muddy and the scenery is great to ride - I recommend following this track) than to Schlosshof and Chuck Norris Bridge. You can use or phone to follow the track, but we will also offer a handout. The second option will be a little tougher, a little longer, around 150km and you should know what you are doing. https://ridewithgps.com/routes/26722963 Don't take long brakes, keep a steady pace, work together with other teams and smile, no matter sunshine or rain. To win the #tse2018 you have to ride the complete long track without shortcuts, no matter the time it takes. If none of the teams can ride the whole track, the first prize will be part of the big tombola. Both rides start at 10:00am!
Some times shit happens, you get a flat or break your derailleur (you should not have one in the first place :) ). So carry tools and spare parts with you or ride together with someone who did and take a look at your bike before you start. You have to carry your luggage by your own.
At the last checkpoint in Bratislava you will be able to lock up your bike (bring a lock) and get drinks (and (vegetarian) food?) - and if we run out of food, we are sorry.
