Its...odd, but pretty cool.

My body is gone, but my mind is still here. I still have my own thoughts, but I can hear some of Patton's thoughts as well.

Its neat being a little taller. And I don't need my glasses anymore with is a plus, but I've got this weird headache which isn't too fun.

I...I don't know. I haven't thought about it yet. I...hope they like me.

What if they don't though? They're going to think it's weird, no one's ever done this before.

I think it'll be fine. They love us both separately and now we're all bundled up into one! I can't wait to see them, we should make them something for the special occasion and surprise them!

Okay, that might help soften the blow.

*calling logan on Patton's phone*

"Salutations"

"Logan! I....I uh, kind of need your help with something."

"Are you alright? Why does your voice sound like that, are you sick?"

"No I'm not sick, well not really. Anyway, could you please just come to Virgil's room for a second?"

"Alright, I'll be there soon. Goodbye."

"See ya."

There's a knock at the door. MI walks over and puts a hand on the knob, pausing for a moment. They take a deep breath, and open the door slowly.

Logan's eyes grow wider, as he looks up to meet MI's eyes. "Patt? Or...Virgil? Wha-" He's cut off by MI pulling him into the room and closing the door behind them.

"We need your help." They stated bluntly.

"Clearly." Logan stepped closer to MI, his eyes twinkling with curiosity and wonder. "I can't believe it...did you two really fuse?"

"Wait, you know about fusion? How?" Virgil spoke out, eagerly taking the reigns for a second, before stepping back to let Patton back through with him.

"Well, since I act, in a way, as Thomas's brain, I'm aware of all functions and abilities of the sides. Including fusion. I have always known this to be a possibility for us all, but I didn't expect it to ever come into fruition. It's an incredibly rare occurance, one that must be triggered by Thomas, whether consciencely or not. Something must have happened to cause this...but what is the question."

"Has this ever happened before?"

"Well...no, not really..." Logan got a strange look on his face, before shaking his head and quickly stating. "I-I mean, I've attempted it before, but we can't access the ability ourselves. As I said, it must be triggered through Thomas somehow."

"Do you have any idea what might've triggered uh...us?"

"No, but I know where we can check."

With deceit? I...I don't think that would be good idea. He isn't-or well. I don't know, I don't want to think about that too much.

MI and Logan walk up to a large doorway at the end if a hallways MI had never seen before.

"Apologies, but I never asked your name."

"Oh! Uhm...just call me MI."

"Well then, MI. Welcome, to the Mindex."

Logan opened the door to reveal a fairly large room, with a navy blue floor and walls, and rows of tall gray filling cabinets. He led MI inside.

"Inside these drawers, are extensive files on the sides, and other various things related to the sides. Here, we can research and discover almost anything you could ever want to know about any of us."

"Wow, this is amazing but...why haven't you ever mentioned this room before? It kind of seems like a big secret to keep to yourself."

"I understand the confusion but I assure you that it was only done for the benefit of the rest, and Thomas of course. If the sides were to get too self aware, it could lead to various cognitive issues with the host body, and if we're being frank, he appears to have enough of those already. Now, since you are a new side, technically, your aisle should over at this end."

Logan led MI over to the far right side of the room to find a row that, unlike the others, had only one single, small cabinet. Logan opened the top draw and inside, lay two beige folders with papers inside.

"Now, let's find out a little more about yourself."
