Many of us have been fortunate to have a privileged upbringing and mentors to help us navigate challenges in our lives. Big Brothers Big Sisters provides 1 on 1 mentoring for at risk youth that are not as fortunate. Studies have found that children paired with a mentor are: • 46% less likely to begin using illegal drugs
• 27% less likely to begin using alcohol
• 52% less likely to skip school -- and do much better in school generally
