Robbe was going to finish this.

His fingers clacked on the keyboard, the sounds echoing off the walls of his room where he sat at his desk. The dim lights illuminated his brown curls and the fresh cup of coffee beside him had already cooled by the time he decided to take a sip. He typed out a few more words of his assignment and hadn’t even heard the front door open with keys jingling and a certain figure grumbling through the laces of his Doc Martens.

Cold hands then curled around his neck causing him to smile fondly and look at Sander who had just come back from his late night classes. He leaned into a sweet kiss, saccharine soft that slowly lingered and then another peck once more. Sander’s hand trailed the fabric of his black sweater around his shoulders and he leaned closer to take a look at his screen.

“Are you almost done?” he asked.

“Sort of...I’ve got a long way to go but I have like, an idea of what I’m gonna do,” said Robbe. “This paper will be the end of me, though. Fuck, I don’t even know if anything I’m writing makes sense.”

He felt him press his lips on the top of his head, breathing in the smell of his hair.

“You’ll do fine. You always do,” Sander smiled.

“Says you Mr. ‘I’m so great at art, I can sketch, I can paint, I’ve got talent at my fingertips’,” Robbe mocked him with a smile.

Sander leaned his hips against his desk now, the chain of his navy hoodie clinking on the edge. “Shut up. I’ve got my days, too,” he chuckled. “Can I help?”

“Not unless you understand the intricacies of using gene splicing mRNA to edit plant genes,”his lips curved at him.

Sander grabbed the coffee on his desk and took a sip. “No, you’re right, I don’t understand. But I can rub your shoulders and kiss your forehead and offer you other forms of consolation,” he smirked with a twinkle in eyes.

Robbe looked up from his screen now. “Oh yeah? What kind of consolation?” he tilted his head. Sander just leaned forward and answered him with a deepened kiss, his jaw moving slow, his fingers tracing his chin. Robbe hummed in satisfaction, his eyes still closed after the fact, drinking in the taste of him. He then returned to the screen, hands typing away.

They sat in silence for a bit as Sander sipped Robbe’s coffee. He had a tendency to do that. Wherever coffee lay, he tended to gravitate towards it, stealing it all in sneaky sips.

“By the way, are you wearing my shirt?” Robbe asked without looking up to complete his sentence on the screen, glancing, however, to gauge his reaction.

“Hmmm?” Sander questioned mid-sip. His fingers held the cup plastered to his mouth to hide his grin.

“That’s my shirt,” Robbe smiled at him now.

Sure enough, Sander was wearing the faded white t-shirt underneath his dark hoodie with Japanese letters curling around a fish, and the letters ‘SB’ in the corner that belonged to him. It was the same one Robbe had worn the day after their anniversary, when he found Sander had returned with croissants.

“Is it?” he pondered. “I hadn’t noticed,” he shrugged.

“Sander,” Robbe drawled.

“What? You always steal my shirts,” he gave him an incredulous look filled with laughter.

“Yeah, because they fit me,” Robbe laughed with him.

“Well, this one fits just fine,” Sander tugged at the hem. “Besides...” his eyes dipped to the ground, a slow smile stretching. “I miss you when we have to leave each other.”

And that made Robbe’s heart clench a little since he could absolutely relate. He left his laptop, sliding the wheels of his chair to the side to touch his knees to Sander’s. Then, he took his hands and kissed them both, light feather trails across his skin.

“I missed you, too,” he smiled.

“Enough to take a break?” the smile that now broke out on Sander’s face had Robbe knowing exactly what ‘taking a break’ entailed and he knew that if he listened to him, his assignment would never get done.

“Maybe not that much, then,” Robbe smirked.

“Hey!” Sander lightly kicked his shin. Then, he pulled in him in his hands still holding and brushed his nose across his. His green eyes, dark and heavy in the evening atmosphere, darted from his eyes to his lips until he connected them in another all-consuming kiss. “Come take a break,” he whispered against his skin.

Robbe was completely lost in it now, assignments and deadlines and stress forgotten under his soft touch, his low, silky voice. He wrapped his arms around and meekly whispered back,

“Okay. Just a small one.”

so i actually wrote a prompt not so long ago and i think that it’s kinda my dream fic.. someone actually started writing it and sent me the first few words/beginning and i was so in love with it but unfortunately i don’t have any news from them since and i’m too scared to send them a message and bothering them so no idea if i will ever get to read this fic one day or not hahahha

but anyways if i had to choose another dream fic i think it would of course be about sobbe, an au (the hard part is chosing what kind of au lol), maybe a friends to lovers aristotle and dante style (but pls i want the fic to continue after their first kiss)... or maybe an ennemies to lovers summer camp with secret dating and 'oh there is only one bed' trope or just 'and they were roommates’... or maybe a good strangers to lovers...... hfhdbdjnsdhd i’m so bad at choosing omg wtf

but honestly everything can be my dream fic like i already read so many amazing fics that were so much better than anything i could ever imagine
