Sometimes daring to believe in what may not happen but you oh so hope it will is a gift to give yourself. After all, if it works out, the joyous celebration, even if you are the only one who knows, is priceless and dare I say, life shifting. And if it doesn't, when it doesn't you realize you didn't break, and you further are reminded it is better to step toward what you hope may happen than sit back and wander. Back in late summer if 2021, the prices for a business class ticket tanked so low, when I saw them, I wasn't sure it was real. But they were in fact the low price I saw with my own eyes as travel was quite stagnant still for international excursions. Planning ahead, I imagined when I might wish to return to France and Britain once I felt comfortable to do so, and it was during spring. A time of year I have never had the opportunity to see either countries. So paying the cost of what I had in the past paid for a Coach ticket, I took the risk and purchased Business with @british_airways , a carrier I have had great experience with in the past, and crossed my fingers and toes that all would be possible for a visit to return to the terra firma of two countries that have changed my life in thé most wonderfully unexpected ways as they have sparked endless curiosities and gifted me with innumerable discoveries. With a long layover before crossing the pond, and with my traveling companion (my mom who is making her first venture to Europe) and I settled in, I with my computer typing away and she with her book, taking breaks to chat with her granddaughter and my father (we are grateful to be traveling (safely with our masks and fully boosted). And I look forward to sharing moments captured along the way - a few here on IG and many more on the blog.
